Elisa and Edina had fallen asleep in Elodie’s arms, sobbing rather hysterically of their missing home. It was warm here. Too warm compared to the islands’ chill, the unfamiliarity and uncertainty scared the barely four years. Hell. It scared Elodie. She had heartbreak and a new match on her mind, but with the world on her mind, she still calmed her sisters, hushing in calming tones until she passes her door and faces theirs with no hands free to search for the key. A bit more than simply perplexed.
everything seemed so different to anders. a new home, they called it. but he couldn’t call it home at all. he was supposed to feel safe and secured without a worry, but he couldn’t help but worry about his family. at least his dear sister was here with him. the least he could do here is to protect her. then again, there is an arranged marriage he must attend to. with the country in peril, his parents must assure a heir. a heir with a queen at his side. in view, he happened to see a girl with her hands full, looking troubled as she had no free hand. of course, it was his instinct to help her out.
“ you look like you’re in a bit of a situation. need some help, miss ? ”
