We meet workers protesting against poor working conditions and the production stress in a documentary film. This together with thoughts about the artist's role and labor. A pyramid is turned upside down. Bodies are twisted beyond recognition. We get to take part in a quiet and slow riot where you meet your own reflections. Existential thoughts about warped perspectives and mediation.

This work is created from the surfaces an analog camera mark between images. The part of the rollfilm which is an empty void. As a picture a darkness. As a negative completely transparent. The work is about offering the possibility of non-image. Roland Barthes writes in Camera Lucida that photographic images do not help us remember things as they were. Instead images are creating new memories. A kind of counter-memories. Light has leaked onto parts of these surfaces when the images photographed have been overexposed.

Det privata och det offentliga, det rättslösa och det rituella överlappar varandra. En lucka i tiden öppnas när skottåret lyser med sin frånvaro och solsystemets planeter står i rad. Bostad, hem, förgänglighet, livet, entropi och och döden ingår i korttidskontraktet som på alla sätt omfamnar det tillfälliga – med verk av Maria Hedlund, Isak Sundström, Miriam Bäckström, Ingela Ihrman, Anna-Karin Rasmusson, Svante Larsson, Timo Menke och Kristoffer Svenberg.
Korttidskontraktet tillägnas Annika Wik (1966-2025), en saknad gemensam vän som vi genom föreningen DCP arrangerade filmprogrammet Upplösning på Årsta Folkets Hus med. Att expandera biografrummet med film, liksom att överlappa konst med en plats känns helt i Annikas anda.

About
As an artist, I work conceptually, methodically and investigatively, which leads to some comprehensive projects and narratives.
Often I investigate socio-cultural contexts in relation to photography and representation. Theories about photography and mediation is a common thread. The result is films, installations, images, sculptures, text and performances, etc.
An example is the exhibition Pyramid upp&ner (Upside down pyramid) 2021 at Växjö Konsthall. An upside-down sculpture (170 cm high) built with bales of toilet paper placed centrally is also the starting point for a film documenting the work's creation. The work is in fact a protest against poor working conditions on the warehouse floor, but also a starting point for a discussion about the conditions for creating art. The works in the exhibition reflect on industry, post-Fordism and the gig economy. Among these, larger sculptures created from car windshields and riot fences are presented.
My practice, which sometimes incorporates activist methods, reflects and analyzes society and questions selected aspects of its bricks and construction.
