ranking the cats in minecraft
nah i'm just kidding can you even imagine trying to rank the minecraft cats? can you imagine choosing a favorite star in the sky? a favorite diamond from a line of flawlessly cut diamonds? a favorite blessing from the gods? a
1. Jellie
i keep seeing people say theyre afraid of going caving because of the new update, but dont worry!! the update includes a lot of new shit that makes caving easier and safer:
first; light levels/mob spawn rate. previously mobs could spawn in any area with any light level less than or equal to seven. in 1.18 the light level required for hostile mobs to spawn is zero!! now you may be wondering; manlet, what about the mob spawn cap? its not changing so where do the hostile mobs go? thats what the extended y level is for, dumbass. the caves are well lit by default due to the addition of glow lichen (and just the entire lush caves biome) so itll be very easy to avoid hostile mobs in caves, which makes the update more fun!
second; the deep dark. dont fucken worry about the deep dark, dude. youre not just gonna stumble across it, and if you do then there are definitely ways to protect yourself from the warden.
build four blocks up before looting chests. chests make a noise that will alert the warden of your presence, but they stand at four blocks tall. speedrunners may be familiar with the trick to kill iron golems without getting hit, and its the same for the warden.
keep subtitles on while caving. this is a no brainer
take snowballs or eggs with you into caves. throwing them will lead the warden in the direction that you threw it if it hasnt already been aggro'd by you
CROUCH ANYTIME UR IN THE DEEP DARK DEAR GOD
if youre planning a trip to the deep dark and you have the necessary materials then bring slowfall pots and milk. slowfall pots to ensure you dont take fall damage that could alert the warden and milk to negate the darkness effect.
the caves were made to be explored, not to be afraid of! its not like theyre anything like caves in real life that are near impossible to escape if youve lost your way and makes you unable to trust your own instincts and senses! they havent added that yet!
master of my craft? nonono, you misheard me, i said master of minecraft. i suck at woodworking. no refunds by the way
nothing will truly hit like trying and failing to make simple jumps in a cave while trying to escape mobs. like. climbing a simple incline but slipping. wounded animal limping uselessly.
i should clarify this is. in minecraft
that new music disc is something else
So how about those new deep cities and skulk family

Minecraft Colour Symbolism
i thought too much about what meanings in-universe players would give to colours. enjoy my rambling!
Red: the most notable red thing in minecraft is redstone. for this reason, red represents energy, tech, and power. it also has correlations to the nether, with the red netherrack and crimson plants.
Orange: orange is seen in acacia wood, copper, lava, and flames. orange is heat and creation, colouring raw materials and worked metal, as well as the glow of the furnace.
Yellow: many yellow things glow or shine, like the sun, glowstone, or gold. yellow represents light. it is also the colour of protective totems, and of wheat ready to be harvested. it can symbolize happiness and safety.
Green: green represents the cycle of life and death, being the colour of the experience lost when things die. green colours living plants and deadly mobs and poison. it may also represent chance, being the colour of the villagers currency and the subject of their randomized trades.
Blue: soulflame, lapis, the vex, the shine of enchantments... blue often has magical correlations. blue is also the colour of value and greed, with diamonds, powerful magic, and the ever-greedy vex taking on this colour. And the darker blues, those that colour the deep oceans and hidden depths, bring symbolism of mystery and curiosity.
Purple: the colour of nether portals and dragons breath, as well as many ender things. purple represents other dimensions, and possibly travel as a whole, since elytra are also a purple-y shade. a notable exception to these correlations is amethyst- is there a reason for that?
Pink: pink is the colour of pigs and axolotls, as well as the rare natural pink sheep. it colours friendly creatures, with even the piglins being willing to trade. pink is friendship and community, it is the safety of a peaceful place. it is rare things and good luck- finding a pink sheep in the wild is a lucky occurrence for sure.
Black: black is the void, the darkness of night, the wither and its skeletons. it is death. but the withers poison doesnt stop until you are dead, the darkness is everpresent, the void cannot be conquered. obsidian takes forever to break. black does not give up, it is endurance, willpower, stubbornness.
Gray: the colour of stone, everywhere, unnoticed. gray is neutral. but it is also deep caves and the hidden treasures within, the dangerous illager raids that bring valuable loot. it is adventure and hidden value.
White: snow and bones, sheets of paper and the quills to write on them, the quartz used in important redstone machines. white is cold, and also intelligence and knowledge. clouds are white, as are shulker bullets and phantom membrane. white is associated with air.
Brown: dirt is brown, and so is wood, and leather. the basic tools and the ground itself are brown. it is stability, and the earth. it can represent beginnings. brown can also mean home, like the wooden starter house that nearly all players have made.
In summary, without all the fancy wording:
red: energy, power, tech, the nether
orange: heat, creation, fire and lava
yellow: light, happiness, safety
green: life and death, plants, chance
blue: value, magic, mystery, curiosity and greed, water
purple: other dimensions, travel, the end, whatever amethyst is
pink: friendship, rare things, community, safety, good luck
black: the void, death, darkness, endurance, stubbornness and willpower
grey: neutrality, caves, adventure, hidden value
white: cold, air, intelligence/knowledge
brown: stability, earth, home
gamefreak: these creatures are pokemon. the mon stands for monster
me: alright
mojang: these creatures are called mobs
me, nodding sagely: short for mobsters
mojang: no

mcc but every member who has roleplayed before is required to roleplay as their character for the entire event
buildmart except instead of the materials being organized by block, the players must find resources in scar’s most recent chestmonster. you need stone and blue concrete? here are 97 shucker boxes randomly colored and scattered across a field. good luck. fuck you.
go on. you need coal blocks?
they’re in here somewhere :)
