A Day To Remember

Today is the day to remember our fallen Soldiers showed no fear when the reaper had called them They fought for freedom and paid the price They did this willingly the ultimate sacrifice Remember them today with honor and pride Their spirit lives on they're by our side They watch over our soldiers even today They wouldn't want it any other way Thank you to those whose footsteps I followed Laid to rest in in the sea or ground that's hallowed A day to remember the sacrifice you made We can never repay the price you paid

0g Propulsion Theory: Riding the Waves

The other night while sitting up in bed watching TV, my mind wandering aimlessly through thoughts bouncing around in my head, I paused to ponder audible sound waves and how their environment reacts to them.

Low tones cause vibrations in the air and make things shake, to put it simply. Why not use this force to move things purposely?

The first application of this that came into my head was 0g propulsion. To test this theory would be simple. A triangular framework with speakers on the corners with gyroscopes behind them internally, some kind of audio device, and a transmitter/receiver. We can use a computer internally to produce the sound in conjunction with taking measurements and anything else we want it to do.

If I am correct, the audible sounds should push or pull the test probe in any particular direction. If this works, then I've discovered a new type of 0g propulsion system.

The cost of producing such a probe would be minor.

4 speakers, 4 Gyroscopes, a laptop, a modem, any size framework with triangular shape

The weight of this probe would also be small, therefore requiring less to launch it into space.

This also leads to testing my other theory, faster than light travel. I already have these details written down elsewhere.

Now I just need to find a few companies that will try this theory out.

Are we alone in the universe?

In my opinion, this question has already been answered.

No, we are not alone.

Every day, scientists discover more and more planetary objects revolving around stars. I feel it is safe to say, that, out of all those billions of planets in our galaxy alone, there is at least ONE with life on it. Scientists have even discovered many planets similar to ours that could easily sustain life. If all this is true, wouldn't you agree, that it is safe to say, that we are not alone.

Now, what will we do with this new life we have discovered? Will we, interrupt the course of events in this life's evolution? Or will we sit back and merely observe as life itself grows before our eyes?

What will we do when we stumble across intelligent life? What will THEY do when they stumble across us?

These questions plague me at times. The only answer I can come up with is, I will not interfere with this new life. I will not beg them to share their technology. I will continue on the path that evolution has laid out for me. As for the rest of this planet, I can only hope that others agree.

To the intelligent life in the galaxy, I have this to say: Our planet is full of life, good and bad alike. Do not pass judgement on those that wish you no harm. There are many of us here that share your quest to discover other intelligence in the universe. Technology is a part of evolution. Someday, we will meet you in peace, and share the discovery of life in our tiny universe.

A Love Tested

Today my heart

carries a heavy load.

the gods dug up

a pain from old.

sadness and shame

fill my soul

the hurt to another

is ten fold.

will the pain be

too great to overcome

or will it begin

a love undone.

will the emotions

still run strong,

or will this be a tale

of love gone wrong.

I pray to the gods

not to take

this love from me

that I once forsake.

will our love

pass this test,

or will it fail

like some of the rest.

all I can say

with the greatest of fear

Behind the name

I chose this name because a good friend gave it to me when we were gaming and it just kind of stuck.

I was living in Germany and giving a portion of my life to my country. We had been playing Vampire. I made a clown character and the first one that popped into my head was Crusty from the Simpsons. I thought to myself, " how funny would that be, to see Crusty as an insanely genius vampire clown!" I can even mimic his voice, which made for an even more comedic game session.

Ever since then, my friends called me Krusty. It's been a long time since I've used that voice but the character lives on inside my head. Making people laugh and the looks on their faces when I say something funny, strange, or just "OFF THE WALL" is a true joy for me. I thank the creator(s) for Crusty. He goes where I dare not.

WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?

I can remember as far back as 5 or so. The image that sticks in my head the most is when I was visiting my grandfather in florida. I was walking through his gardens and kicked around a pile of dirt. It turned out that the pile was the home of fire ants. My grandfather swiftly came up to me and brushed my legs off.
