Welcome back, Toymaker!
Western Commons invites everyone of all shapes and sizes, ages and limits of imagination. We want your help decorating the district to push the limits of festivities and share the love that Wintersday can bring!
Minister Devereux and the Ministry Office for Western Commons will be offering a variety of activities and treats around the district as a whole.
See the beautiful tree just outside the front doors of the Flagon, decorated by the children of the district along with the orphans from Angel House and Queen’s Heart.
Savor in the decadence of a cup of hot cocoa from Emberland Catering.
Go ice skating in the Northern area of the district.
Enjoy a stroll by the shrine of Lyssa and listen to carolers.
Bundle up with a loved one on a carriage ride around the district.
Play in the snow and sparkles that fall from the sky the rest of the night, and imagine being the Toymaker on the sleighs woven through the streets.
Bring your friends, family, and all around loved ones to experience the magic of the season.

Wintersday Warmth in the Western Commons
Around the Western Commons the sights and sounds of Wintersday had begun to appear in successive grandeur. The initial herald of the season was the trademark colorful confetti that fluttered over the streets of the district had been replaced - white fell in it’s place, sparkling and resembling snow as it fell.
Not long after an open square in the northern portion was cordoned off and covered in a glass-like sheet of ice, thanks to the talents of some elementalists who had agreed to donate their time over the next few weeks to keep the rink formed. Any proceeds collected would benefit the Angel House orphanage in Ascalon Settlement and the Queen’s Heart orphanage in Salma district.
The residents were thrilled to see the addition of horse drawn carriages across the streets, the horses decorated for the season with bright green wreathes around their necks and lights twinkling along the carriages for romantic lighting. Stationed at three separate points, they were scheduled to run every weekend over the holiday season.
The district had really begun to embrace the Wintersday spirit, though a few still clung to their curmudgeon ways, despite all of the efforts of Minister @shilohdevereux and the offices of the Western Commons. Though that was all about to change for even the iciest of hearts were about to melt.
The 80 foot Evergreen was brought into the square next to the Flagon and erected, lights hung and a gigantic golden star hoisted onto it’s peak. If that itself wasn’t enough to herald the official arrival of the season to the Commons, the parade of officially invited tree decorators were sure to help usher it fully. Inward they marched up to the tree, little hand decorated mitten cut outs from wood covered in glitter and paint in their grasp. As the children from the Western Commons and the orphans from the Angel House and Queen’s Heart orphanage converged on the great tree, they set to placing their ornaments on the lower branches, which ended up only being about the lowest 1/3.
After their tremendous job adorning the Wintersday tree, the Minister and her office thought it only right they were given exclusive first access to the skating rink for the day and carriage rides with hot cocoa.
That evening as the sun slowly tucked away, the residents of the Western Commons and their Minister, along with their esteemed guests, stood in a circle around the giant tree and watched in awe as it exploded with pale white light that filled the surrounding area with a warm glow.
This was just the start of things for the Western Commons, as onlookers have seen Minister Devereux walking through the residential area discussing decorations and pointing out possible locations for more things to come!

With the coming cold weather and Wintersday upon us, it’s time to remember those less fortunate than most. And with that brings the second annual donation drive, hosted by Shiloh Devereux with the Krytan Ministry. This year, we are accepting non perishable foods for the homeless and toys for the orphans so they may receive presents from the Toymaker on this joyous holiday.

[Event] Salma State of Affairs
“Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change Salma. People of Salma District, I ask of you to take the time out of your lives and lend me your voices on 28 Colossus. For too long we have cried for change, and together we can shape the district into what it was always meant to be.”

Cosette Hale is running for Minister of Salma and encourages citizens to discuss district affairs and expand on current conditions of the district by its residents. With the information provided to her, by the people, she will begin to construct a plan in hopes of bettering Salma. Whether you are a resident, own a business, are employed within the district through local business, or simply want to observe, all are welcome to attend!

The Ministry Office of Salma District is hosting a community action day in the center of the district, inviting everyone to come out and volunteer together in an effort to preserve the beauty of Salma. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy a day of raking leaves, planting bulbs, and clearing the streets. Light treats, provided by Emberland Catering, and refreshments, supplied by Serrated Forge Services, will be served for our much appreciated volunteers.

Brave soldiers who fought and were wounded by Branded and the Crystal Dragon in defense of our kingdom have recently been transported to Vanguard Hospital in Salma District of Divinity’s Reach, seeking medical attention. Given the sudden and large influx of patients and the critical care they need, the Ministry requests your aid. We welcome any donations, monetary or otherwise, particularly medical supplies, linens, and bedding.
Should you wish to ensure proper reception of your donation at the hospital, I would be happy to coordinate a time to personally receive them. Thank you for your endlessly gracious support of Kryta and dedication to its safety and stability.

At the Rising of the Moon
The forge filled with the remnants of battle, anguished cries echoing within mountainous chambers. “The Scion is dead!” shrieked the woeful chant that found the Lord Commander’s throbbing ears as he lay secluded from the others. He knew it looked like the all-consuming brand that had covered his body were it not for the notably sanguine coloration of the crystals forming beneath his helm.
“The Scion is dead,” wailed another feminine voice, one which finally tethered to his cognition. The half-melted helm whose chromatic residue had left imprints upon the crimson stalagmites glimmering as they swelled over the chasm where a simple scar once resided. He could feel the blood draw from his veins and tire his heart as it began to form into the granite, pulsating shell. His life force was leaving the internal machinations of his form, draining and waning his consciousness. It eclipsed his right pectoral entirely now, crawling like the ground-eating molten eruption of a volcano toward the last of his living beats.
His eyes peeled toward the domal ceiling, the rubble that rained down, having come loose from the Elder Dragon tearing through Melandru’s snow-capped dagger. It was a respite he longed for, in truth, knowing well the curse laid upon him by the betrayers would swallow him soon. A deep, bari-bass timbre serenaded a once jolly war-tune as he resigned, palms laid upward, titan’s frame dressed in crimson crucifixion as he slumped against the rampart in absolute seclusion.

The image of his betrothed, a child upon her hip and the other trailing to tug at her skirt forced a small smile to his lips. The corruption lived in him all this time, stole from his ability to hold her as close as he wanted, to let his daughter, or son touch his features. The impending doom had left him now as the mind directed toward the chambers of a young, gallant Vice Legate whose tawny beauty matched only by her ferocity as she reigned the justice he’d long fought so hard to purge.
