i luv letting that shitty catboy be gentle when nobodys lookin too... taking care of the kids and the animals lmao its so cute he wants to be so tough and bad so bad but hes truly sweet too.. i like to imaginee maybeeeee young mantis allows him to have a look under his mask.. hes got scabs n stuff from runnin around and he doesnt let anyone else touch him... but he sees him treat eli nicely so he allows it
i love this sort of dynamic with it too... i also love mantis sort of bcoming his therapist too like even as a kid on mother base like he just reads his mind every time hes around eli and hes like yeah ur messed up dude LMAO IDK like its just goofy n silly to me.. like this kid can kill ppl with his mind... but he sees all the bb stuff n hes like why are u so obsessed he kind of treats u like shittttttttttttttttttt where is he now.. break him down too make him more prime for insanity.. would b funny if these kids just made him insane enough to turn the tables and do their bidding too... and he already lets them do what they want cos he enables eli cos he was against the clones to begin with... ocelot then gets high out of his mind and thinks hes possessed by him even before he dies like thats how he goes out he isnt even like. cognitive of himself... whether it be drugs or brainwashed or possessed fr hes OUT OF IT he "died" before all that.. he prob died the day bb rode off on his bike.. just like bb died the day he murdered the boss... he literally goes to her grave to lie down and die beside HER ugghdfgdjgk
i had this note too, I loveeee the actual lord of the flies ref with Eli too I always loved that book n the super old black and white movie.. the commentary it was supposed to making like the children going primal and feral sort of just humans reverting to that state when left on their own.. ties into mantis whole idealogy at the end when he dies, stating humans will always be inclined to hatred and killing.. deep
hes got to build up to that as a child as welll... he feels all the vehement hatred of the world and becomes symbiotic with it... i dont see him being the type to let others push him around... i think thats why he gets attached to eli too they dont try to use each other for any sort of gain i think theyre genuinely friends and understand each other and want to help each other its very sweet
