The Future of this Blog

Tumblr is making policy changes banning all adult content, effective December 17th. Since we have no plans to stop making the gayest, porniest games you have ever seen, that puts us in a tight spot. We are exploring options for a new blogging service that will allow explicit posts. 

Over the next few days, we will be removing all explicit images from this blog to bring it into compliance. After that, we will post a notice letting you know where our new home is, once we have one. We are sorry, it’s either that or disappear completely, giving us no way to contact fans and giving you guys no way to find us.

Strange Flesh downloads are hosted on our own, privately owned web server, and will remain available. 

If you plan on deleting your tumblr account in protest of this policy, you can still follow prettygoodbear, Blazingcheeks, and FannHorse on Twitter to hear upcoming game announcements. We’ll announce our new blog there as well.

Strange Flesh Update v1.2

Another quick update to the game based on user reports! Just like last time, there are no major changes. If you’re done with the game, no need to get this. We just want the best possible version preserved for posterity. See the patch notes below if you’re curious.

The new downloads have replaced the old downloads here. Your title screen will say v1.2 if you have the patch.

Patch Notes

Fixed a bug that would cause the game to break in the boss battle when using Firefox.

Fixed a bug in the Smoke Explosion special effect that greatly lowered performance, especially in Firefox, when a lot of smoke was onscreen.

Fixed a bug where transitioning from Den of Lust to Garden of Vice could sometimes jump you forward directly to the boss room.

Fixed some layering and alignment issues with the "Smoke Clone" sex animation.

Repaired a missing sound effect on the Party Animal.

Fixed music cues on certain cutscenes in the Gallery.

Added an ad-block detector and warning message to browser version.

Strange Flesh Update v1.1

Hello Agents of Flesh! It has been just 5 days since Strange Flesh launched and the response has been phenomenal. We’ve had over 65,000 unique players download or play online, from all over the world. I don’t know about the rest of the dev team, but that means I was responsible for more boners this past week than the rest of my entire life combined. That’s a lot of dicks. I’m honored.

Thanks for playing, thanks for sharing the game with your friends, and thanks for all the really nice messages you have been sending in.

On behalf of the team, I’d like to give a very special thank you to everyone who donated. It means a lot to us that you were willing to send some money our way even though you didn’t have to.

Game Update

Strange Flesh has been quietly updated to v1.1, both the browser version, and the downloads. Get it from the existing download links. If you have v1.1, it’ll say so on the title screen. There are no major changes, you don’t need to replay the game or anything. We just want the best possible version preserved for posterity. See the patch notes below if you’re curious. And thanks again for playing.

Patch notes

Fixed a bug where enemies could get trapped behind glass doors, halting progress.

Fixed a bug where returning to a previous level and saving would break the game.

Fixed boss's charge sound effect to respect the SFX volume settings.

Fixed exploit that allowed player to skip phases 2 and 3 of the boss battle with carefully timed hits.

Fixed an issue where unused save points would play their sound effects from far offscreen.

Added a new minimal debug overlay, activate with B. Debug mode must already be unlocked.

Updated downloadable versions to the latest version of Electron (our app runtime) for possible performance enhancements.

Is the game in its full optimization? I have played it and it was really laggy even in the menu... By the way, this looks fucking awesome! Keep it up <3

I’ve gotten quite a few variants of this question so I’ve decided to answer it publicly to help out anyone having performance issues. Any computer from the past 6 or 7 years should be able to run the game perfectly. So if it’s running like trash, this post is for you.

Minimum Requirements

OS: Windows 7 or higher / macOS v10.9 or higher Processor: 64 bit processorMemory: 2GB of RAM

If your computer doesn’t meet those requirements then you won’t be able to play the desktop or browser versions, sorry.

Troubleshooting

Use ChromeIf you’re playing in a browser, Firefox runs the game slowly while Chrome runs it well. This is a Javascript interpreter speed issue.

Disable Ad-blockersAd blockers slow the game down tremendously and sometimes break it, so disable those. If you leave the tutorial area and end up on a featureless background with a plant and a Joe, that’s your ad blocker.

Plug In Your LaptopThe game is written in Javascript and some javascript interpreters throttle to give more battery life on laptops. For a normal web page, you wouldn’t notice anything but when running a game at 60FPS, that can be a big deal. If you’re on a laptop, plug it in to stop webpage performance throttling.

Use the Downloadable VersionThe downloadable version has the best performance, so if all else fails, try that.

Disable High DPI Application Scaling If you have a high DPI screen under Windows, like on a Microsoft Surface or similar laptop, get the downloadable version and follow the directions in the troubleshooting text file to disable HiDPI scaling. That will get you running at 60FPS no problem.

October Gets Stranger

Strange Flesh will be released on Tuesday, October 24th.

The game is playable start to finish. It is feature-complete, and (as far as I am aware) bug-free. Everything is done except for the last set of sound effects (including the Bartender’s voice), a little bit of music, and a tiny bit of polish here and there on animations. So release is just around the corner.

Life always gets in the way, so when I say it’ll be done soon, I know better than to give a date! But soon! Thanks for following and sticking with us!

I noticed Joe is kinda scrawnyer in his head then he actually is. Any reason for that? Also he's pretty well endowed in his mind before the bartender uses his smoke on the projections. Something to do with Joe's ego or...?

you kind of hit the mark there. Joe doesn’t see himself as powerful or in control, so the base figment you encounter looks kind of diminutive compared to the bartender. when he gets corrupted though, his perception of himself starts to bloat little by little, with interesting results X3

The thing is, the game is nicely packed with content but it’s also very short. Really a labor of love between me and bc, that we’ve been adding to slowly for about 2 years. The temptation to overexpose it is huge! I’m sure guys would love to devour every art asset and every enemy behavior gif we post. And it would me us feel so good to see our work out there. But it would also spoil every surprise and leave us all underwhelmed when it’s finally ready.

I hope you guys understand. We appreciate all the enthusiasm and support but you’ll just have to wait a bit longer.
