Hi everyone! I just wanted to say I’ll be leaving the Role Play. I have some family circumstances that will be keeping me from continuing on. I wasn’t here very long, but everyone was so kind to me and welcomed me right in and helped me learn. I hope you all have an amazing New Year. Happy role playing, fam.

《┄┄┄♡》 she didn’t smoke, but it didn’t take much for her to tell when someone was high as a kite. personally, bitna thought it was tacky, but she wasn’t one to waste time on judging someone’s methods of having a good time (though, she did openly cringe somewhat at being called ‘man’). “alright, see that guy over there? i swear he’s like, the tackiest senior in existence. get him at a party and it’s like he’s never seen a girl in his life, fucking pathetic,” she spoke slowly, though she wasn’t sure if it was to be accommodating or condescending– more than likely, both. “how many girls do you think he’s going to approach for a dance before one of them just slaps him? whoever’s closest gets a free drink, at the loser’s expense.”
If Mandy was going to be honest, she was pretty out of it. It was too early for her to cross fade and Mandy knew that with just a couple of drinks she could be gone.
“The Buddha once said ‘all that we are is a result of what we have though’ and this guy may be scum but like he hasn’t done anything to me. If I spend my time tearing him apart what will that say about me? You know?” Mandy cringed and laughed at how pretentious she just sounded. Mandy could be so petty, so it made no sense for her not to tear this guy apart. For some reason she was on her high horse tonight. It must have been the drugs and the her fear of getting blackout drunk too early in the night. “Plus, I’m so stoned right now that if I do win I’m not sure if I’ll be able to remember the rest of the night.”

《┄┄┄♡》 bitna loved a good party, but not for the same reasons as everyone else. sure, it was nice to get the chance to let loose, get drunk and not have to worry about 8am classes, but it was even nicer to watch everyone else do the same thing, especially since they were more inclined to take it too far, fuck up and do something blackmail worthy. it was in those times that she was there, watching carefully and waiting for the moment where her memory would become ammunition to get what she wanted. with the new year approaching, it was only natural that bitna was up to her usual scheming, drink in hand as her eyes absently scanned across the crowd of people that filled the club. even with the impending entertainment, the night being young meant that everyone was being so boring. quietly sucking her teeth, bitna turned to face the person nearest her, a smirk growing on her face as an idea sparked in her mind. “are you interested in playing a game, love?”
The edible was a lot stronger than Mandy had thought it was going to be. The night was too young for her to already be this stoned. Mandy was a seasoned partier, but tonight she looked just like a newb. What a freshman. At least she wasn’t drinking...yet. Mandy was swaying to the music, feeling the heat in the air and the pounding of the bass. She was trying to take in the party through all of her senses. She felt the color orange during a night that should feel more like the color blue. Mandy was looking around the room at the nearly dead party when she heard the girl next to her ask a question.
“Yeah, man. What kind of game?”

I don’t know why Flicka gets to me, but it does. I don’t even like horses all that much but it’s just such an emotional film. It’s truly a masterpiece. I wanted to have a relaxing study break but now I’m trying to calm down. I wonder if Flicka 2 is just as great.
“Why are your eyes so bloodshot?”
“Snap, crackle, pop...I forgot to put my eyedrops in. Is it really that bad? Like I didn’t even smoke that much this time, I swear. I was just in a rush and needed something to calm me down. I’m usually not this careless. I don’t think anyone is going to be shocked to see me like this, but I just feel like it’s common curtesy to have clean eyes and not smell like weed after a session.”
Do you believe in magic?
I don’t know if I believe in magic, but I do believe in the law of attraction...and like that’s pretty magical. I mean think about it, man. All the energy we put into the world is the energy we get back. We are the result of our own thoughts. What goes around comes around and I guess if you’re a good person then it’s like magic.
What did you break?
It’s my fault for thinking I could carry my glass piece in my backpack. I mean, I don’t know I just thought they’d make these things more durable. Cindy was my first bowl, man. Cindy and I have been through a lot together. Where will I find another bowl that is shaped like an elephant?
“Why did the chicken cross the road?”
“I feel like this is a loaded question, dude. Like...I want to say to get to the other side, but we all know that. If the chicken wanted to get to the other side there has to be a reason, you know? No one crosses the street just to do it. Maybe this chicken wants to become a government official.”

After meditating with Mandy that day, Yongchul decided this was something he (unexpectedly) learned to enjoy a lot. They ended up exchanging numbers, and, sooner than he’d expected, he was texting her to meet up again. He had just spent his entire free day on composing one song and it was not going as smoothly as he’d expected. It was like writer’s block, but for musicians. Nothing was fitting together right and the stress of an upcoming exam and paper due the following week was not helping. “Free for a meditation session?” He typed to his new friend. Although they had only met that one day–and then again around campus exchanging greetings–he already felt like Mandy was someone he could easily rely on to help get his mind somewhere else; and while he was often one with his head in the clouds, absent-mindedly going about his day, focusing on his soul was different. It was less thinking, more feeling. God, he felt like a hippie.
Mandy smiled at her phone when it lit up with Yongchul’s name. He was an unlikely friend, but he really opened her eyes to a lot of different things (mostly different types of music). “Of course! When and where?” Mandy shot him back a quick text. Mandy was way too excited to see her meditation buddy again. She was even more excited to test out some essential oils on him that she had bought at the flea market the day before. She even bought Yongchul his own little bottle of Ho Leaf essential oil for stress relief. She saw on his snapchat all his late night music writing and figured he could use something to help calm him down...she didn’t think he was ready to meet Mary Jane just yet.

mirai raised a brow.
“both of us?” she said, gesturing towards the picnic bench. “like…together?” she wasn’t entirely opposed to sharing the table with the other girl—mirai was just surprised with how things had turned out. true, she’d been angry a few minutes ago. in fact, she still kind of was. the only reason why she’d decided to let the other girl have the bench was because she knew that technically, the table was public property, and if the girl actually chose to fight her on it then she’d be going down. nevertheless, mirai found that her anger was slowly diminishing and she sat down slowly, allowing the other girl’s words to sink into her brain.
“mandy?” mirai echoed. “that’s an odd name. are you a foreigner or something?” she stared at the scenery before remembering to introduce herself.
“tsukiyama mirai,” she stated. “fame chaser. and which clique are you from?”
“Nice to meet you, Mirai.” Mandy grinned towards the girl hoping to minimize any tension that was left. “Surprisingly I’m not. My moms just wanted to switch things up a little bit, I guess. They honeymooned in England and really loved it there. When they had my older brother they gave him a very Korean name, but when they had me they wanted to give me a more western name for some reason.” Mandy chuckled to herself. Her moms were funny ladies. “I’m also a stoner.”
Mandy turned to the now familiar stranger. “So Miss Tsukiyama...what’s your story?”

“sophomore lily kim at your service,” she replied with a mock salute and then shook the other girl’s hand with a too-big grin stretched across her face. the girl before her looked extremely bubbly and innocent and lily nearly wanted to wrap her in a blanket and also possibly tuck her into her pocket.
“you didn’t trample anything. i tend to act first and then think so i always come off a little harsher than i mean to. bad habit,” lily shrugged, shifting uncomfortably on top of the table while the silence dragged on between them. “so, uh, what’s your clique?”
“Oh, I’m a stoner.” Mandy perked up with pride. This was a title maybe she shouldn’t have been so proud of, but she wore that label and all the prejudices it came with. “If you ever need a smoking buddy let me know.” Mandy maintained her toothy grin and bouncy persona.
“And don’t worry about it.” Mandy didn’t know if this girl needed reassurance that she wasn’t hurt or upset, but she figured it couldn’t hurt. “It’s frustrating having someone in your personal space bubble when you aren’t mentally prepared for it.”

it wasn’t everyday that a girl that randomly offers him pot which was something jinwoo was extremely against, a fact that practically everyone on campus knew about the jock leader – except for mandy, herself. all he could reply with was a surprised cough while repeatedly shaking his head in decline, looking between her and their professor in front of the lass.
“it’s illegal in most places…?” jinwoo replied back awkwardly, unable to get her humor and instead, rubbed his neck nervously. “i mean marijuana’s just really bad, you know? especially if you get drug tested or get caught which is worse. i am a good guy but i just don’t really smoke. anything.”
hands placed back onto his desk, they were immediately covered with hers which left his cheeks visibly red in shock. “nice to meet you, mandy…aquarius?” jinwoo turned and questioned with a tilt of his head. “i’m jinwoo. libra. not a smoker.”
“That’s a super name, Jinwoo.” Mandy had heard that name before. Where had she heard that name before? And then it hit her. “Oh shit, man! You’re the leader of the jocks, aren’t you?” She couldn’t believe she had just offered pot to the leader of the jocks.
Something about this situation sobered her up very quickly. She searched the corners of her hazy brain in a frenzy, looking for something to change the conversation to. Something that wasn’t drug related..but this was Mandy so of course she had to ask him more questions about the illegal substance he had just turned down.
“So do the sports teams here drugs test? Like are they super strict about that?” Mandy’s face reddened. What kind of question was that?

“same here! i love it and it’s perfect, really.” haneul nods in agreement, her smile not fading as she closes her eyes for a brief moment. she would have to go back to the drama club for their practice but she figured it wouldn’t hurt to talk to the other girl for a bit.
“yeah, it’s nice to meet you too. hmm. i’m a capricorn!” she finds it interesting that the other would even introduce herself with her horoscope included, a first in haneul’s entire existence in actuality. “i part-time there as a waitress, yup. god forbid they let me cook the food they serve because they’d probably be closed down for good!”
“I feel that, I can’t cook to save my life. I know those freshman 15 are going to sneak up on me based on all the prepackaged food I eat.” Mandy laughed. She looked around at the busy campus and the sky. It was really such a beautiful day out.
“What clique are you part of?” Haneul seemed sweet, bubbly, and driven. Each clique had their own stereotype and Mandy had a biological urge to categorize this girl...but couldn’t figure out how.

haneul’s lips turns in a lopsided grin with her response, sighing in relief that the other wasn’t irritated as the others (case in point: basically throwing the flyers at her face). “my favorite?” she hums in thought at first, furrowing her eyebrows as she tries to remember the store’s bestsellers straight from their manager’s script.
“well, suygogi gui ssam if you like beef. we also have bo ssam if you’re more into pork. of course, the bulgogi’s off the charts! people visit us for that, actually.” she chirps, taking the seat next to the girl to bask in the sunlight for awhile. “i mean, it’s a nice place and the ambiance ishmm relaxing? like you’re basically at home. oh! i’m haneul, by the way. jung haneul. you can find me there if you stop by at night.”
“No way! I love bulgogi. I’ve been meaning to go out and try new restaurants. I’m glad I ran into you.” Mandy held the flyer in her hand, looking it over. It was pretty close by and if it was as homey as this girl said it was then it couldn’t be more perfect.
“Well it’s very nice to meet you, Haneul. I’m Mandy, I’m and Aquarius.” Haneul’s smile was contagious. It was the kind of smile that could part the clouds and cure cancer. “So you work at night...what are you? A server, a hostess, a cook..?”
