Hey it’s been a while since I posted here (but follow me on @gaignun or on sonnengartens on IG!) but I had to post this amazing pic of me taken by the talented Romey! Give him a follow on RomeyRo Films on Facebook and romeyrofilms on IG please! He’s an amazing TWD cosplay photographer and also an amazing Negan cosplayer himself! He’s taken so many more great pics of me and others. But like omg I just had to post this one.

I’ve also been TEMPTED by CERTAIN PEOPLE!!! To potentially cosplay timeskip manbun Jesus as well, comic/TT version. Right now I’m still working on Gaignun but ... after that, who knows... I FEEL BAD I FORGOT TO TUMBLR but I’ve been on my cosplay IG at sonnengartens so please add me there! Especially if you cosplay TWD too-- I love following people and want to try to make more connections, especially because I met up with some awesome people at Big Apple Comic Con last week! And debuted Jesus, and had a SUPER BLAST! So many shout outs from people! So many people shocked when I talked to them because they thought I was a dude. It was amazing. So here are some pics! More Jesus progress! The wig I have to fix/style a little, also mmmmmaybe, depending, dye it a SMIDGE darker. The darker shade at Arda was too dark and this one is NICE I like it, but I think I might futz a bit to darken it just the slightest bit.

Also, the fabric velcro works wonderfully, so now my belts stay in place like they’re supposed to with no visual as to what’s holding them up! :D

From here, aside from the wig, I need the pants, boots, and knife sheathes so I can attach them to the thin belts I have for the pants. I’m still trying to figure out if I like the coat or not, but holy hell, coats closer to his are hard to find! No real buttons or crazy decor ... I would say if anyone has ever come across something affordable to let me know, but I’ve looked so much and I’m not sure if people would even want to share if they found something since I bet it was difficult as hell to find.

And lastly, with the wig I now have excess hair from cutting it so I can do a beard test soon. \o/

Going to try a trick to keep the belts in place on the vest for Jesus that can't be seen! Have both stick and sew velcro in case I need to mix and match due to the difference between the vest fabric and leather of the belt. Hoping for a good outcome! Because man, those belts do not stay in place like they need to. Gotta wait about a day for the stick though, for it to set, so we'll see how things turn out in a couple of days since I'm doing a test area first. Crossing fingers!

Got a shirt for under the vest for the Not Tomorrow Yet look! So decided to take a quick shitty pic with what I have so far (not pictured: the hat).

Still have a few things to go. The wig is next once it arrives! (AS IS THE BEARD PRACTICE) Then I need to look for pants and the knife holsters and boots. And God fucking help me with his coat lmaooooo I’ve already went searching for something close/good to the point of madness.

And next cosplay! Maggie Greene from the Walking Dead (first picture)! So far I’ve only cosplayed her ~S4 area outfit as that was one of them that I think stands out the most. One fun fact I learned after cosplaying very noticeable anime/game characters is that for LA ones it’s harder to really stand out or get people to notice you! “Are they cosplaying or just wearing a similar outfit...” I found that having a prop in the form of the Terminus map to carry around helps! I LOVE PROPS! I’ve gone to NYCC and WSCNY/NJ in the 2014 - present timeframe.

This cosplay was also a lesson in wigs. As you can see, the second picture’s wig is different then the rest. I made the mistake of cutting/styling the wig on a wig head. A wig head that was. Smaller than my head. SO WHILE THE WIG LOOKED BETTER ON THE HEAD it was wayyyy too short on me! At least I can reuse it if I ever decide to cosplay S7 Maggie. ;)

Anyway, like stated, the wig I cut and styled myself. The shirt started out as a good looking one but I later found the screen accurate one and nabbed that! The belt I found online and altered, the leg holster I also did myself ans it’s a weird Frankenstein thing but it gets the photo job done! The pants I just grabbed at a thrift store since they’re standard, and the boots I found in a shop in my area that I thought were close looking.

Aside from the Terminus poster prop (that I printed out and drew the message on myself) I have two gun props! The machine gun featured in all of the photos, as well as the handgun that my friend who was cosplaying Tara borrowed in the second to last pic. I love cosplaying Maggie because TWD is my favorite series ever and i love it SO FUCKING MUCH in all of its forms - series, comics, games, novels, mobile games. I’m so deep in TWD hell and I couldn’t be happier, and I love Maggie so much as a character.

Also, shout out to my awesome Rosita and Tara (@kiyuukins) who cosplayed with me and made my dream if no longer being a loner cosplayer come true! I’m so glad for our little group we had.

Yeeeee! My Jesus belts just came in the mail! I love how they look, I spent some time trying to find something that I thought looked closest to the actual ones, so I’m really proud!

Now I just need to figure out the best way to trick hold them in place when they’re in action so they stay up. Maybe I should look into some sturdy, black/blendy pins since the idea of trick sewing is blaaaaah.

Next up! Is Dio Eraclea from Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing. My absolute favorite character from one of my two favorite series. I had so much fun cosplaying him at Otakon and NYCC in the 2012 - 2013 area.

This was a commission for the most part. The robe and boots were commissioned, and what I did myself was: The wig cutting/styling, making the hairpiece, the makeup, the goggles around my neck, and the belt. You can see in the pictures at one point (third and fifth pictures) the belt was a last minute job with the decor, but I went back to fix it to make it look better when I had more time for later. I also did the tassles myself, both on the belt as well as the sleeves - the commission came with its own, but it didn’t look right/wasn’t the right color. I also altered one part of the robe myself - the commissioned robe didn’t have that grey pattern/inline on the “pants” so I added that to it myself (as seen in the 7th picture). I also made the weapon in keychain form (6th pic) myself, and got myself a lot of props for this costume. The white lilies, the roses, the butterflies... Props are awesome to have for cosplay shoots.

Dio is my favorite character in this series and I loved him from the moment he first appeared in the first series. I also love what the sequel did with his development and story because he’s still so DIO but you can see how far he’s come and how he keeps going on despite all that happened to him. Fam gave me so many amazing moments with him, especially regarding Lucciola because LUCCIOLA AND DIO DESERVED TO BE HAPPY TOGETHER AND ALIVE AFTER ALL THAT BULLSHIT I will forever weep over this because Fam just showcases how much he loves him and misses him and UGH. My kingdom for someone to cosplay Lucciola with me (for AU should be canon alive and happy photoshoots WEH).
