My cervix is fully dilated, and the contractions are now coming every two minutes and feel like they last forever. Lying on my back had become unbearable, and I'm hoping that giving birth on my knees will make it easier for the baby. The pressure and pain are intensifying by the second. I try to breathe through the pain, but then the next contraction hits me, and I have to push again. I can feel the baby gradually making its way out of me. I rub my belly while it's still there and apply gentle pressure. I scream in pain as the baby is born.

What if giving birth was as typical as using the bathroom. Like “Excuse me a minute, I’ve really gotta go give birth” or “I hope there’s a delivery room close by, or I’m gonna drop this kid right here!” …That would be silly I think. But also hot
