Lots of ppl seemed to like my Cogwork Dancers' wing concept, so I had to make it bittersweet ;)

Boy I'm so glad the yaoi is canonically undoomed and everything is fine and they get to hug hahah, my favourite part of the game for sure

Headcanon under cut!

I think they would have been built with wings to simulate the Clover Dancers Whirlwind/Hurricane attack, but due to the inherit inflexibility of cogwork and just... a lack of whatever special power made an Old Heart as formidable as they were in a fabricated shell, the wings never served their due purpose and they could never replicate the Verdanian ballet we see in the original fight.

This is why we don't see them in the Cogwork Dancers battle. Since they served no purpose, Citadel just let them fall into disrepair over the years. They were not overly necessary for guarding GMS, after all, and by the state of the other Sentinels, we see they're absolutely not above letting their warrior constructs deal with damage til they can't anymore.

PSA PSA for those who might not be able to read what this tiny ass screenshot says + without the unnecessary passive-aggressiveness:

Go to Voice & Video settings.

Turn off Automatically Determine Audio Sensitivity.

Move the slider over to the left to suit your sensitivity (avoid pushing it all the way to the left to cushion possible background noise).

This should prevent you from cutting out so long as said issues aren’t because of Microphone or Connection issues. Great fix for those with quiet voices or garbage microphones.

Here’s a screenshot of that for our visual learners. It’s a mobile screenshot, but desktop Discord looks exactly the same, just wider.
