There's something unsettling about seeing her tortured into submission, but the good kind of unsettling. You showed what needed showing. You spent only 1-2 panels showing her torture, which means it was over so fast that you can't help but wonder what happened, making your imagination go wild.

To what extent is Citadel Hornet still, well... Hornet?
I would've initially thought she's somewhat of a silent, subservient knight without much of a personality anymore, but then that image of her blushing and leaning away when Lace flirts with her made me reconsider, hence why I'm asking!
First of all, thank you so much for your interest in this AU, I'm truly grateful to everyone!
My main idea is that she's under mind control, as happens in the comic, and of course, she's a silent knight whose main duty now is to protect the princess of Pharloom (all of this in this AU). But deep down, she still retains the essence of being Hornet and the love she has for Lace (this is a “GL” Alternate universe), which is why she blushes and gets nervous in some drawings. I don't know how to explain it exactly in words, and I hope the following pages of the comic will do so 💛🤍

In your Citadel Hornet au did she molt? She looks halfway to Hollows height
I'm not sure what kind of "growth" Mask Maker is referring to regarding Hornet. I don't know if it's physical, mental, or both. Taking this as a reference for the AU, I like the idea of making Hornet taller, in terms of that "physical growth." Hornet could be as tall as her mother, and the fact that she has wyrm blood, making her half-goddess, could also play a significant role, but she wouldn't be as tall as her siblings (Hollow, for example).
I have some concept art that I hope to share very soon to show this AU in more detail.
