Genuinely curious why do so many people want Nate to be redeemed? And why do so many people want Jules to do it? Nate is not only a literal abuser but he manipulated and black mailed Jules, then beat the shit out of and framed Tyler (also maddy’s fault). Like I don’t understand the “uwu the bad boy changes for the girl” like no Nate is not a bad boy to simp over he’s literal human trash. Like he’s overall a horrible person and I don’t understand why people actively want him redeemed so he can be with Jules. The amount of ppl I see hoping for this in s2 is weird.

Edit: I myself want to explore Nate as a character. He’s one of my favorite characters actually simply because of how complicated he is but he does not need to be redeemed. He is a horrible person and I hope he faces punishment for the shit he’s doing/done.

Like I’m really open to hearing what ppl find appealing about them ending up together?

when i was a kid, back when i watched heroes on tv and stuff, the hero said, “what is your happiness?” he absolutely hated ending without knowing what happiness was, he said. but no one knows the answer to the meaning of happiness. i thought, “don’t say scary stuff to kids that aren’t even in grade school yet.” to become rich? to be popular with girls? to get into a good school? to be respected? of course, i’m sure that for many, that’s what happiness is. but none of them are my happiness.
