Hey Ms. Weird, wondering if the Kuros ever had a type of singing style, or like people sing at all. Kinda curious and hopin you okay!

3D! Aaay! Omg it's been so amazing seeing yall come back again, seriously. I hope you've been well!!!

Oh defo! The band Wardruna has been my biggest inspiration for Kurosian music. Though, Kurosia was massive in the sense that it had *many* cultures, each breed has their own part of Kurosia they're adapted to and each have slightly different cultures and music. Most have Norse influence, but for example those born by water can have Indonesian like influences where Brokt dragons born by mountains can have Mongolian like influences. The main capital is a melting pot of all the Kurosian cultures meshed into one.

I'll share a few Wardruna songs that I daydream with all the time! I wanna do storyboards to them, if I still had the means to make them I'd love to try 8,D Wardruna "Raido" - I've daydreamed of Athrenna for this one! This was her performing a ritual to her village to prove her devotion to her people, which involved her blinding herself by melting wax over her eyes and blindfolding herself and throwing herself off the edge of a cliff. She'd have to predict how close the seas were, avoid crashing into the waves and rocks, and fly back up to the village. She succeeds, and this action catches the eye of warriors from the capitol of Kurosia who suggest she protect her village by learning from the city.

Wardruna "Tyr" - MY FAVORITE!!! I love imagining a war band of Kuros and Umbracorns going through the Veil and singing this to Breithonakt to allow them safe passage. The beginning of this song is *exactly* how I imagined how it sounds in the Veil. You hear Breithonakt draw back to listen to the Kuros sing to him!

There's more I can comment if I remember them, but these two I've recently gone back to and listened remembering old daydreams. If I find more that I've forgotten, I'll be sure to share! Thank you again for sending in an ask 3D <3

Don't know if you remember, but I was the anon that asked about Burdohk's armor a couple of years ago. Gotta say that, even if he didn't have much impact on this universe, he is my favorite character, and I love his little interactions with Athrenna.

Their relationship is what fascinated me the most. Forged in respect, admiration and caring for the wellbeing of one another for centuries. The fact that Burdohk has something of hers, the feather attached to his horn, and Athrenna, in a way, has something of his, the scar on her chest during her battle for queenship.

I'm sure it's me and my mental disorders, but considering that his son stated that Burdohk possibly cared more for Athrenna that their society permits and despite both of their sexual leaning, I have always wandered if, in much different circumstances, the king and the queen could have been... something.

Anyway, it's glad to read from you again, and thank you so, so much for creating the grumpy, disciplined king/grandpa of Kurosia.

My goodness, I LOVED this ask! Burdohk was a soft spot for me, the old King and Queen were written to be a successful example of the rulership of Kurosia. Despite their differences, Athrenna and Burdohk sought to find their own way of ruling all the Kingdom. Burdohk was from a hardy, life or death part of Kurosia where water was scarce and the tougher and colder you were, the more likely to survive. While Athrenna was raised in a humble, small fishing village many forgot about. Both had to fight the odds stacked against them to not just survive, but thrive. When they met, they thought very, *very* little of each other just like Kurogh and Feuriah. But each learned quickly how strong their other was in their own rights. Athrenna was warm and loving to her people when Burdohk couldn't express himself, and he was an absolute powerhouse when Athrenna needed it. Athrenna thought she'd live a life forced to a male that was emotionless, but she found out Burdohk did have soft spots that only she could see. She only really saw it when they started to have eggs together. When Athrenna wanted a harem, Burdohk was silent. He left their chambers and the Queen thought she had offended him. But he came back, two hours later, with bundles of female applications to high quality positions he'd taken note of and handed them to her. He listed their best qualities, and Athrenna found herself shedding tears leaving her King silently confused. In his own way, he showed his acceptance of every bit of her even though she wasn't attracted to him because he valued her and respected her. In turn of his acceptance, Athrenna gave him her feathers. For Yinvaht Kuros, that is a sign of *immense* respect, and Burdohk wore her feathers until he died.

They had many eggs, and Burdohk was active in each of their lives. This was the type of 'love' Kruta was interested in and why he was so into Kurosian love stories. He saw his parents differences and how they worked perfectly together to parent and rule the kingdom. I will say, Kurogh and Feuriah *had* the potential to be the same. Kurogh did in fact respect Feuriah in a similar way, despite his upbringing he saw Feuriah as a strong female dragon who fought tooth and claw to find her place and somehow become Queen despite not being born in Kurosia. If Malefor never appeared, they could have possibly worked through their differences and find their own peace and rule effectively. Burdohk was a good King <3

Is this is still Spyro or this is original version of Kuros? Because I was wondering if you guys ever got around writing your own purple dragon.

Nah, there were no special purple dragons in original kurosian lore. There was an Avelyn though, the story included her and a handful of other dragons :) and a villain *based* on Malefor, his hold in name was Sovryn though the only similarity would be his motivation to wipe out the Kuros.

No Spyro though!

Apologies on the silence, I haven't given up again! I unfortunately had to put my dog of 13 years down a few weeks ago, and I've taken it pretty hard. I adopted him at 7 weeks in 2009, he was with me for the beginning of my adult life. He passed from kidney failure, it was... the hardest decision I've ever had to make.

I'm working on a few answers, but thought I'd let peeps know I've been grieving. The asks have kept me distracted but I haven't been able to draw as much as I'd hoped.

For now, here's a teaser of what I've been working on! I'll be getting back to things slowly but surely

Did the Kurosians also declare war against those that traded with the Litheans? Or was it just one-sided with the Litheans being assholes to Kurosians?

Hay Hibi! ❤️ Naah, the Kuros weren't as uptight with the Litheans. They respected their purpose as their opposites, though their opinion twists the closer to the Fall. Kuros only clashed with Litheans when the dark dragons left the borders of Kurosia to hit back at enemies that have done them wrong, and it almost always makes situations way worse.

When it comes to a Lithean and Kurosian fighting each other one on one, neither can win. Their elements can poison and weaken the other, so direct fighting is often avoided for both party's sake. They'll fight using allies, but the damage their direct wars is almost always greater than any victory. Litheans see this more as a threat than Kuros do, they recognized they weren't meant to fight Litheans while the light dragons saw Kuros as more of a threat for it. Over centuries this builds, until the Fall eventually tips the balance over on the Kuros and the Litheans claim themselves victors over 'darkness'.

It isn't really them that defeats or even causes the Kuros's downfall though, they just took credit 8,)

I understand that you're moving away from Weirdlanders, but I'm curious if you ever had a design for the Third Egg hatchling in mind? As in, what ratio of human to dragon they were.

Oh yes! The lil eggo still has a design, has a name, and I even had two posts saved in drafts about the eggo being born. The character was designed by a friend of mine, and started off as a 'what if' third baby that ended up becoming canon. Or, would have if I'd continued.

Sadly, almost all files I had were lost when my laptop kicked the bucket. Original files anyway, I could always redraw the bugger ^^ I will say it's anatomy was completely different than Havok and Hysterias.

Oh Light dragons have names now? What lore do you have for Litheans?

Yup! They had that name from before I left, Koof and I were working on them but never fleshed out their designs. They did have more biblical angel type of designs from what I remember, but there's no art of them. I'll dig around for more info but I don't think either of us got very far with the Litheans sadly ;3;

Kurosia Revived Started doodling this once I made this tumblr ;u; I haven't had photoshop in a year (cat thru up on my old laptop 8,) ) and it felt right that the first pic posted here is of a wee babi <3

Thank you so much for returning yall, it's been a very hard few years which has eaten so much of my creative drive it got to the point I rarely drew if at all. I hope that changes <3

So beside other dragons what’s Kurosia relationship like with other nations and species?

OHOOOO this I've been very excited to touch on again! And going into depth of how Kurosia was regarded not just to dragons but to the species that ruled alongside and under dragons.

Chromatic dragons didn't govern other species, but the Litheans ('Light' dragons) and Kuros saw over others. Kuros ruled over almost all intelligent species within Kurosia's borders, most notably the Umbracorns and an Arachnid species I'll be going into later. Though they aligned with the Kuros willingly, there are many others that tried to overthrow them and after defeat, both them and any deities they worshipped were enslaved. The most notable of them were the Naga.

Most other Realms don't do dealings with Kurosia directly, and none wish to directly border Kurosia's boundaries. Because of this, there's hundreds of lawless towns in the no man's land filled with the world's outcasts. While it's seen as immense slight against their Realm, many will trade for Kurosian goods via the no man's land in secret.

Those that do trade with Kurosia can find villages within its territories. The deeper into kurosia traders go, the least likely they'll come back alive. Though, these realms trading with Kurosia openly often risk war with the Litheans and those allied with them.

It's been so many years since I abandoned the very world that inspired me so much.

I've wanted to return to it, but felt ashamed and not creative enough to revive it. I want to change that.

Here, I'll be trying to get back into the lore of this world. I'm not going to plan out story but instead expand and revisit the creatures and dragons that inhabited the dark realms of Kurosia.

I've also decided to open the inbox to invite others to wish to also look back on old memories :) or, to ask questions. I'll do my best to reply.

Thank yall, so, so much. I hope this post finds people doing well in these hard times. Let's see if we can rebuild an old, old world to get lost in again ❤️
