“We are so lightly here. It is in love that we are made; in love we disappear.” —Leonard Cohen, Book of Longing, (McClelland & Stewart, 2006)
The Finnish declaration of independence was adopted by the Parliament of Finland on 6 December 1917. It declared Finland an independent nation, among nations and a sovereign republic and therefore broke the country free from being the Russian Grand Duchy of Finland.
Carol (2015) poster by Jordan Bolton, made by recreating original objects from the film. 6th poster in the ‘Objects’ series.
Reversible poster inspired by the role reversal that takes place between Therese and Carol over the course of the film.

On this day [November 24, 1991] - 45 year old rock singer Freddie Mercury dies of AIDS just a day after releasing a public statement that he was sick. Photos above are tabloids during his final months, which caused enormous speculation to the British press and public due to his rare and thin appearances. Queen released their final album with Freddie, titled “Innuendo” during February 1991. It included multiple hit songs such as “Innuendo” “Headlong” “These Are the Days of Our Lives” and “The Show Must Go On”. Freddie was an enormous inspiration towards many people and was one of the greatest performers who has ever stepped on stage.
Rest in peace Freddie.

it’s like I’m reading a book… and it’s a book I deeply love. but I’m reading it slowly now. so the words are really far apart and the spaces between the words are almost infinite. I can still feel you… and the words of our story… but it’s in this endless space between the words that I’m finding myself now, it’s a place that’s not of the physical world, it’s where everything else is that I didn’t even know existed. I love you so much, but this is where I am now, and this is who I am now, and I need you to let me go, as much as I want to…

Even if you come home late and I’m already asleep, just whisper in my ear one little thought you had today. Because I love the way you look at the world. And I’m so happy I get to be next to you and look at the world through your eyes.
