I still can't believe our little girl is turning 1 tomorrow.
Our little bookworm. 😍📚
This kid brings the party with her to ever meal - and that includes 8am breakfasts while on vacation. One day she'll learn to sleep in, right? (with @yellowonesdontstop ) (at Naples Grande Beach Resort.)
Took a trip to the library to get out of the apartment but avoid the heat. Rows and rows of books = Rory Heaven. #raisingrory
Batten down the hatches, folks! We've got our first step! Not pictures @yellowonesdontstop and I silently celebrating as to not freak her out.
It's Wacky Tacky day at school! @yellowonesdontstop went with a mixed stripes theme. Not pictured, her black and white striped leggings.
The sign of a successful day
11 months old and she has turned into such a little person. Opinionated, silly, curious and brave. It's as if everyday she comes a little more into focus - her personality shining through. For instance, she is now extra vocal when she doesn't get what she wants. While trying to take these pictures all she wanted to do was read her books and play with my cellphone. Guess which she was allowed?
Best filter ever? Literally counting down the days until we can read her Harry Potter. 1856 days to go.
This week has been ..... challenging.
Cooking for 3
Now that Rory is swatting away her purées and would rather eat finger foods, I'm finding it harder to figure out what to make her for dinners (and lunches on the weekends). We don't get home until 6 and bedtime is 7:30. I'd rather avoid spending most of my limited time with her during the week in the kitchen while she plays in the other room. So here's the question - what are your go to kid dinners? I'm talking not special regular Tuesday night sort of meals. While it's a bonus if I can use the same food for Lacey and my dinner, it's not super necessary. I'm also more than happy to do a big meal prep on the weekend and have a few things I can quickly heat up or move to the fridge to defrost the night before

Our #pride and joy
7 years ago I went on a 2nd date with a cute girl to The Stonewall Inn for drag bingo. Today we brought our daughter down to pay homage on her first #pride. The fact that I can even write those two sentences is only because of the sacrifices made by the brave people who decided to fight back 47 years ago in this very spot. (at The Stonewall Inn)
Getting ready for her first #pride weekend!
