i want to run in a meadow surrounded by forest at night until my lungs give out, and then i want to scream as loud as i possibly can and rest easy in the knowledge that no one can hear. I want to sit around a bonfire, and i want to throw anything i can find into it. i want to jump into it and come out the other side unharmed. i want to jump off an enormous cliff into murky water with my eyes open. i want to rip something, anything, to shreds and hold the remains in my hands and think about what i can make out of it now. i want to be proud of the bruises i earn while doing manual labor or just from exploring, no matter how much they hurt. i don’t want to think about myself as a self. i want to view things like an animal would: the bare necessities only, without the burden of self-consciousness. i want to sit outside naked in the moonlight. i want to grow a garden so tall that it reaches the trees and i need a flashlight to walk through. i want to live in a house that i built myself, with furniture that i built with my hands only, with painting and rugs and blankets and other furnishings that only i have made, and eat food that only i have cooked and grown. i want to destroy every mirror and every portrait and every camera. i want to be wild.
