Jasir Upendo’s Great Hall portrait
Born to the descendant of Nettles. He was born in the mountains near Wickenden of the Vale. As a child his uncle saved a caravan, led by a man named Kingsley Draak, from raiders of a rival clan. Jasir became friendly with the members of the caravan, and Kingsley praised him for his bravery in helping them fight. Later that same year the rival clan came and destroyed his village; Jasir had ventured off to his secret place to play with real weapons like his uncle and mother had told him not to. After learning of the raid, Jasir found his way along the road until he came across a band of merchants familiar with Kingsley. From there, Kingsley was able to sway favor with Lord Sequin to raise the boy. The boy was raised as one of the Lords own children. During Robert's Rebellion his Lord Sequin fought for the Targaryens. As war was an opportune time for change, Lord Sequin sought to grasp power from a rival Lord also fighting for the Targareyns, but was defeated. Lord Sequin was forced to give Jasir as a Fosterling. As his two other sons were killed at the Trident and he only had 2 other daughters. While Jasir was not his heir he was regarded as family to everyone. Jasir was raised as a fosterling for Lord White. At his foster Lord’s service he trained with his lord's various sons and nephews. All would vy to beat him as he was a quick as a rabbit and stuck with a force equal a man 10 years his senior. The slendor rabbit-quick boy grew into the broad shouldered hefty man he that would one day rule an entire hold. As if he grew in size from every blow he struck. Jasir grew older and became a renowned swordsman. Taking on various tasks for his foster Lord White. After some time his renown reached the Hands attention and he was able to curry favor with the Usurper King Robert Baratheon and was granted his own hold at 29 years of age. As Jasir's power grew, he gained many sworn swords pledge to his service. #the30 were those of his sworn swords that had gained some renown. Jasir faced various challenges as Lord of his keep but grew to be a very powerful lord, coming to be known as Jasir the Staunch for his staunch protection of the small folk and very public support of the crown. Although he supported another would be Queen to the iron throne in secret. He gained much prominence and that gained the attention of some greater houses. Which became his downfall. #TheLegendofKujichagulia Jasir's family was all but killed and he was banished from Westeros. His mind was uneven and he leaned into life's vices heavily. While at sea to make his way to Bravos his ship was beset upon by a storm and fell to sea. He has no memory of how but he was picked up by a scraggily crew of sailors headed to a location he hadn't heard of. The crew knew little of the common tongue, but knew some Bravossi. #HisNuminousVoyage They were at sea for months occasionally finding a small piece of land to set on and never once did they see a ship. Until one day they crashed on the northern shores of Skyrim. #TamrielRising [Dovakhin song starts playing as Jasir Upendo steps on top of the boat and looks over the land. Close up on his eyes as they swell. (It's been long journey emotionally/spiritually for him) He has no idea how old he is at this pointy in his life, he isn't grey however he isn't a young man either.]
