such a beautiful send off scene. as opposed to the targaryens who left ashford in the drab colors of despair, dunk and egg are bathed in the pure golden light, happy and ready for whatever awaits them.

ser arlan walks with them for a beat and then turns off in the direction of the tree. meanwhile, dunk and egg remain on the right side of the path, the side with the hedges. we get so much story in a single frame. ser arlan and his teachings have gotten them this far, and now it is time for them to set out on their own.
