High. Kirei is not one to actively attack or egg on anyone as he would much rather talk things out. He is not actively hostile to anyone, but he’s no pushover when it comes to a fight. He didn’t survive for decades as an executor by being lucky. He is a professional. He is a master at manipulation and it is often far too late when one figures this out, if ever. 

Friendship Level:

Low. Kirei is not interested in friends, but that wont stop him from letting other people call him friend. Acquaintance is more accurate, but he’s generally very friendly and easily approachable. He’s also more than willing to help out with something when asked or needed. He is a villain, but he’s not rude.

Main Places of Activity:

Fibonacci Ward: This is where his home is, but he can be found wandering the ward from time to time and looking at what it has to offer

Cotes Ward: May find him walking around the eternal tree or wandering the forest as a way for him to think in a quiet place. He also visits the great library often in hopes of finding some text that can help him. Generally he can be found almost anywhere here as well, whether it be him just wandering or trying to get a better feel for the ward.

Archimedes Ward: One of the various churches to gain knowledge of the other religions or to meditate and think.

One of the many branches: These ones are newer to him, so he’s started to slowly enter these areas to learn as much of them as possible.

Places they never visit:

Nowhere really. Generally he’ll go somewhere if it ends up helping him in the long run or if he wants to learn more, but brothels and casinos and the like are on the very, very bottom of his list of places to visit.

Occupation: N/A. He might help out around some of the churches though. Haven't figured this out yet.

Okay i'm still deciding how I want to get back into RP but I think because kirei takes so much to write I will start slow and simple with my next most loved; jalter :)

AVENGER SCOFFS OUT A CHUCKLE,  making some quip about the quality of the city’s wine. irisviel had seen them partake of it often, and she suspects they’d been dipping into the church’s supply until this venture. a small comedic gem as that was, it’s neither here nor there.

the mentioning of the servant’s class container gives her cause to pause. 

‶ avengers are more of a lie of omission than they are an actively-kept secret. ″  she bites the bait he’d casted by citing his ignorance,  ‶ realistically nothing is stopping one from being summoned… but they are rare. or, they should have been…″  she can’t help but peer at avenger through her peripherals as if they somehow illustrated her point. 

the fuyuki holy grail war has only seen its fifth iteration as of the current day. given the great saturation of the standard classes, one would assume the chances of seeing such an outlier would be quite low, and yet she’s fairly sure this would be the second time. she herself had not been told about the avenger of the third holy grail war, having learned only by coming into contact with it. it was an avenger that had become her that fateful day, and an avenger that had shaped its mud into that non-beating thing that masqueraded as his heart. 

she’s not sure that she cares for him to become privy to such details. if nothing else, she’d prefer not to admit that this past avenger and herself had, for a time, been one and the same.

‶ … do as you like, kotomine. ″  irisviel opts to stay on-topic,  ‶ it isn’t as if i have the means to stop you, or much else to do but watch. ″

        ‘ considering all of the legends and myths of history i cannot           imagine they would be common. perhaps next time they           would come with less of an appetite for all the cellars wine? ’

    a short quip and nothing more, him already having given them free     reign of all they need to make themselves comfortable. the least     they could do is leave some left over for sunday mass, but that     mattered little.

        ‘ then i assume there is more the the grail that is still unknown.           thought i do not expect you to have all the answers. i am sure           some things were kept even from you. ’

                        much like the secrets kept by the church          even the mages association and founding families have theirs               and never was there a better time than now to dig it up

    it was something he would need to investigate more, though such a     task would not be easy, even with the help of maou nobunaga.but he     was confident that with time such secrets would open themselves up     to him. the only question is what would irisivel do? she was linked to     him via the grail, unable to interact with anyone else but those directly     connected to the grail.

IT’S A SERVANT.  irisviel can deduce as much even just from the corner of her eye. she’d seen them in the vicinity numerous times, never acting in the capacity of a heroic spirit and more as kotomine’s guest. but they were impossible to miss; tall, with bright red hair and a presence so commanding she oft wondered if they could kill her by just moving. kotomine had told her their name once, in passing as he’d referred to them. 

‶ ODA NOBUNAGA… ″ 

irisviel is not what anyone could call a “history buff”. she knows, loosely, of the mythologies of europe by virtue of it being her home, and anything else were isolated factoids that she’d gathered from the many books that kiritsugu had brought her. and perhaps it was because kiritsugu himself was japanese and had provided her with literature accordingly, but by whatever stroke of fortune, irisviel at least knows who the demon king of the sixth heaven was.

she can’t help but step back as avenger passes by, seemingly indifferent to the conversation taking place      though they amused at having been mentioned.

‶ someone who declared themselves to be an enemy of the gods in life…″  she understands immediately. kotomine’s masterhood was complicated, better described as a remnant of his participation in the fourth holy grail war and the result of machinations she’d prefer to not ask after. the through-line remains that his is an eighth servant -      one extra than there should be. and now, their presence made sense. ‶ … somebody like that could become a servant with anti-divine attributes. ″

        ‘ enjoy your time in the city? it’s been some time since you’ve           last been here. ’

    a passing comment, should they choose to respond or not. his     attention was turned back to irisviel who seemed to have been     caught completely by surprise.

                   their demeanor is almost suffocating is it not?

        ‘ precisely. summoned as the avenger class, which i did not           even know existed.’

    a special class outside the original seven. was such a class completely     new, or was it simply a fluke caused by the grails corruption? there was     more to the grail than he had initially known, and he was quite keen to     learn all that he could. but that would require a special investigation.

                         perhaps even you would like to come along?                           i am sure there is still much for you to learn

        ‘ we’ve come to a mutual agreement. neither of us care for           the grail or to participate, and our goals overlap with each           other. ’

      one whose goal is for mankind to not rely on gods, and the others       for no god to be beyond judgement. for their divinity. for their desire       to be worshiped. who is to keep the gods in check when there are       none beyond their reach?

        ‘ no god should have the power to dictate what man does. and           none are beyond the hand of judgement. ’

‶ n…none have. ″  she sullenly concedes,  ‶ the grail has never properly been claimed. ″ she will not give him the satisfaction of learning the details as to why, granted he’s not discovered them already.  ‶ it was … kiritsugu, who came closest. i trust i don’t need to remind you of his decision. ″

she also will not give him the satisfaction of hearing from her that he is technically correct. the grail has retained its omnipotence, indubitably, but irisviel of all people cannot deny the volatility inherent to its corruption. if the grail is the chalice, then the world’s evils has become the wine. but kirei does not get to hear that affirmation from her, and she doubts that he needs to.

‶ have it your way, kotomine. but you haven’t answered my question; how do you intend to do any of this ? ″

        ‘ i remember that day all too well. through my death i saw everything           you did. a shame he went against the very thing he sought until           the end. if i remember correctly, he died only recently. ’

    a man whose wish caused untold devastation, the countless bodies     piled beneath him only for him and a single child to stand atop. yet     the curse placed upon him took its toll (or was it his guilt? i wonder)     and in the end had its last laugh.

        ‘ it’s for that very reason the grail cannot be relied upon. its           corruption makes it a liability, though i will not deny said liability           has its uses.’

                     the irony in it almost made him laugh

    a single hand raises to his chest, a heart which stopped long ago     held together by the very corruption which now ran through his     veins. his hand now rests at his side, a small smile as head turns     to the large doors only just now opening.

                     and so the talk of the hour as finally returned

        ‘ but who better to oppose the divine than one whose very nature           goes against it? i believe the answer to your question has returned. ’

‶ THE HOLY GRAIL IS OMNIPOTENT. ″  she defies him matter-of-factly, and if one didn’t know better they may daresay she does so pettily.  ‶ it’s linked to the root, kotomine. the mana it can access and utilize is limitless… all-power is its very nature. ″

perhaps it’s her pride as an einzbern that makes her indignant, loathe to allow a member of the holy church       he who was hardly a magus        to lecture her about the wish granting device her family had helped create.  and irisviel is not wrong, but by all means she is arguing semantics. the folly of the grail lies not in the question of its power, but rather in that it is only as great as the wish-maker who holds it.

‶ … the grail has been corrupted, but it is not weaker for it. ″  what a frivolous hair to split.  ‶ even still, how would you ‘kill your god’ without it, kotomine ?  even an anomalous one is only human. ″

        ‘ mayhaps i struck a nerve, my apologies. i am less than           a third rate mage after all, so what do i know? ’

    a smile as she retorts, the pride in her eyes something he had not     seen in her for quite the while. whether he believed her or not     mattered little; she was after all one from the founding families.     what was his knowledge against the centuries of hers? yet pride     was always an insidious killer, blinding even those wise beyond     measure.

                            a shame tokiomi learned such a lesson

        ‘ weaker or no, it is unreliable for that very reason. it would be           foolish to place all hope in the grail. and the church holds           many secrets; some even greater than the mages association. ’

                                time is all that i require                               and of which i have plenty

        ‘ to reach the root is the goal of ever mage, correct? most           dedicate their entire life only to pass their knowledge on           to the next. how many do you believe have reached the root? ’

i no longer see any reason to hold back such information from you. so i will say to you what only one other knows. i do not seek power, nor fame or fortune for such things do not interest me. where once i sought pleasure through the suffering of others i feel nothing. as you already feel, i should not exist. i am an anomaly that slipped through the very cracks of creation unwillingly. the only thing i seek, irisviel, as selfish in nature it is. the sole reason behind all i do. is to kill my god.    from @kxrei​​

IRISVIEL HAS LONG LOST THE VIGOR TO CONTEST HIM. kotomine kirei is an unassailable wall before her, a man that she could never defeat in combat nor with words. it’s long been clear that neither his fight nor his preoccupations were with her; it only ever seemed as though he wanted her to watch something      to learn something.

she never knew what. his mind was fundamentally incompatible with hers, her font of feeling versus his desert of apathy, and so she could never tell what he was thinking. but perhaps that was alright. perhaps being so unlike kotomine kirei was a good thing.

and perhaps that’s why she looks at him like he’d grown a second head. his goals remain just another aspect of him she could never understand.

‶ you would seek the power of the grail to commit DEICIDE, kotomine? ″ his name always sounds acerbic coming from her, like she’d doused every syllable in poison. ‶ how lofty of you.″

        ‘ the grail holds no such power, you know that better than anyone. ’

    the grails corruption was made clear that day to all, its blackened     ichor twisting all it touches. her words were venom, threatening to     pierce his skin were it not made of stone. she will never forgive him     for what he had done, such was her right.

                     yet even you cannot find fault in my words.                                  loathe as you are to admit

    he is no hero of this story, nor even the villain. he is an anomaly     not even god himself could foresee. he had searched his entire     life to find meaning; a reason to exist. yet try as he might there     was none for him, the fourth war making clear that very day what     it was he must do.

                    no man is immune to judgement for their sins                         why would gods be different for theirs?                                 judgement  comes for us all

        ‘ no. such a task is not so simply solved. as powerful as the grail           may be, its corruption has forever tainted it. it can no longer          compete with the power of the divine. ’

is dragged kicking and screaming, but thankfully he hid his new limited edition signed pen in a hiding spot she would never find it. partly because she can't open doors. but we don't mention that.

Just and FYI I am going to be dropping Kirei from Isola for a bit as my muse is not where it once was. I just sent the request in. I’ll probably be back after a while, I just need a bit of a break so I can come back with a fresh start. Apologies to those who I was threading with at the moment. It was not my intention to drop things like this, I just need some time so I can come back fresh and strong. This means you are free from Kirei tormenting you all........... for now

        ‘ fortunately they have seen to that as well, limiting most to but a fraction           of who they were before coming here. however give it time and i assure           you your strength will return. this city often has a mind of its own. ’

Well, this would be interesting. Reines didn’t trust Kirei, full stop. Even if he had done nothing directly to her, even if he had already helped her numerous times, she didn’t trust the man with even the simplest matter. He was a mage, he was from the Church, and he was a Holy Grail War survivor. All were good reasons to keep wary of him.

Working with him now… there wasn’t any other option. Reines doubted remaining on the train was a possibility. The Stars would figure out a way to ‘fix’ that quickly enough. Besides, much as it remained a reason not to trust him, the fact of the matter was that Kirei had survived a Holy Grail War. Those who were skilled at staying alive in extreme circumstances tended to stay skilled; he would surely prove valuable.

If he didn’t betray her. 

It was with a resigned air that Reines settled down across from him and accepted the briefing and a tea of her own. Her own rations weren’t here; taking food from him would have to be her first sign of trust on this ridiculous mission.

“Guns are not my strong suit,” she eventually admitted as she got to the end of the docket. “I know how they work well enough, but they are not something I have had practice with. It’s quite unfortunate that spears are not a subtle weapon.”

    he’s set the cup down, briefly looking outside before looking back to     her. mistrust was clear in her eyes, as it always was when he was     around her. he was an executor for the church and no doubt one     well known to the association; he fought and survived the holy     grail war after all.

                   thought survived would not be the full truth                     he died that day and the next born anew

        ‘ what better time than now, no? the plans laid out           a network of tunnels which run under the complex. ’

    he was versed in the use of all manner of weapons, from close to long     range, though personally he preferred the use of his black keys as he     could carry far more than he could ammunition. not to mention they were     far quieter. his cassock was also designed to protect against small arms     fire, though that was seemingly all he was given. they would both have to     make due with the weapons provided on the train, ranging from small     firearms to a few knives, and several explosives for blowing the base.

        ‘ i’m certain we can make use of them and avoid most of any           confrontation, but they’ll only get us so far to the control room.           there’s the matter of taking out the main target as well. ’

Reines had been sleeping quite peacefully. After all she had gone through recently, she probably deserved it. With the gentle clatter of the train tracks and the soft rocking of the car, she probably could have stayed asleep for a few more hours.

The loud horn that sounded had other ideas and seemed intent to startle her awake. She jumped from where she had been settled into one of the booths. The rough wool blanket slid to the floor with a dull thump, tearing her warmth away with it.

It was a new world yet again. And if she wasn’t mistaken, across the otherwise empty train car was quite honestly one of the worst people to be stuck here with.

“How long have you been there? And… I don’t suppose you know what we’ve been thrown into?” Perhaps Kirei had gathered intel while she was asleep.

        ‘ you looked exhausted, so i thought i’d let you rest. ’

    though not the full answer, he thought it would be good for the both of them     to share such an experience. it would also allow him to fully understand just     what she was capable of. the train was peaceful, them being the only two on     board as the train slowly made its way down the track, towering snowy     mountains the only view from the windows.

        ‘ there’s no turning back though, that time has long since           passed. we’ll be infiltrating a secret organization to stop           a villain from launching several nuclear missiles. ’

    he sets down the intelligence folder on the table, taking a sip of his tea and     looking out the window as the snow gently falls. he looks back to reines and     briefly to the snow gear on the other side of the train, with skis included.

      ‘ we’re in for quite the adventure it would seem, so i’d come         get some tea and wake up before we reach our destination.         you can read the brief too if you wish. ’

“I have come across more dangerous occurrences in my years here.” Immediately springing to mind was her time with Null fighting against the Stars, or her time on the zombie island. That was not to mention the time Trimmau had shifted into Kayneth and succeeded in killing both her and Judar.

This entire island threw danger at them on a regular basis. If the fog was the worst Kirei had come across, he was either extremely fortunate to have avoided the worse events or he had come across something truly terrifying.

She knew better than to pry for details she didn’t want.

“It was not a pleasant experience nevertheless.” Reines didn’t offer any further details on her own issues with the mist. That would require giving him an entire backstory not even her Brother knew all the details about. “With any luck, we should be afforded some respite for a time.”

        ‘ more dangerous than the fog and prison island? i would           like to hear more of these events if you’re willing. ’

    of course he’s heard whispers here and there of events long     since passed, but still fresh in everyones mind. he would      consider himself lucky to have escaped most of the horrors     to this day, though if he would be so lucky in the future was     yet to be seen.

                             but i welcome the opportunity

        ‘ for a time i hope, though i do not expect the serenity to            last. if the fog was any indication, i would assume they           are planning for, or testing something. ’

Reines had spared little thought for her neighbour as of late.  Between the chaos of everything else the Stars had thrown her way, she’d hardly had time to do more than occasionally send a glare over at the Church. Well, that and fetching Gwyn off his yard whenever the pup wandered off too far.

It was unfortunate that he’d managed to catch her off guard. She would have quite appreciated it if the respite from him had gone on indefinitely.

“As well as could be expected on this island. I’m sure the same could be said of you?” Brushing him off entirely would be rude after the help he had previously offered; Reines could play nice for at least a few minutes.

        ‘ i must say surprises are rare for me, but this island is certainly           full of them. ’

                   to see my wife and child again, if only a shade                         and for ritsuka to witness her sacrifice                       this island truly is something else entirely

    to reach into the depth of his mind and bring to surface memories he had sought     to keep to himself was a violation of the greatest degree (yet what was done     was done). but there was a part of him which appreciated the change in pace     from the stagnancy which had become the norm.

    to fight again with an old friend he had long since betrayed and witness the true     strength of ritsuka as master and savior of humanity. it was far more enjoyable     than what he had been doing before.

        ‘ this fog was far more dangerous than anything else i’ve           experienced thus far. i trust your experience with it was           far less eventful? ’
