I microwave my tea water. I am a daughter of Karma (like for real my mom’s name is Karma) If I am not outside I, Read. Watch. And occasionally write fanfiction.
Been a very hot minute but I ended up scratching what I had planned for the next update and ended up with this:
Chapter 21: The Therapist
“You're not as chatty today, Sasuke,” she commented.
The sarcasm was not subtle. Sasuke still hardly talked during these sessions. Usually their hour was filled with long pauses as Shizune scratched away with her pen. The silence was only ever broken when she would pause to ask a question. Sasuke would respond with a simple yes, no, or a shrug of the shoulders, sending Shizune into another frenzy of note taking.
When I said I would have this chapter up on Sunday like three weeks ago what I really meant was a random Wednesday night a month later...But here it is finally!
"There are many things I think lowly about you Sasuke, but there is one thing I will not stop admiring. When you have a dream, when you set your mind to it, you make it come true."
That moment when you are working on a story and you finish proofing most of the story. So you transfer the finished portion from your drafts to your posting document. Then continue to finish the rest of the chapter for two hours only to realize you never PASTED the bulk of the story…now I am frantically hitting undo hoping beyond hope I didn’t just delete the chapter I’ve been working on for months and hoping to post soon 💀💀💀
An update to this crisis. Fully restored 🙌 hoping to have the next chapter of Hate Me Hate Me Up soon! Hoping for Sunday but at least in the next week!

"You still don't get it Sasuke. I'm not mad. If I was mad it would mean I cared about you. It would mean that you disappointed me. But you are nothing to me. Therefore this is not some twisted and complicated story where I have high hopes and you fail to exceed my expectations. Nothing you could do will let me down because I have no expectations for you. Those were lost long ago. I hate you, Sasuke, plain and simple."
Finally nearly completed chapter 10 and getting it ready to post! Oh how I've been desperate for progressing this story! We should expect an update sometime this weekend maybe even later today depending on time! But for now here are a couple snippets or teasers if you will. And links if you need to catch up or a refresher! AO3 FFN
WARNING! It contains spoilers.
“I suppose I didn't realize I needed your permission to visit my city. Next time I will bring a calling card,” continued Madara in a mocking tone. He turned to give a sharp glance to Sasuke. “Remember, the position of Hokage is appointed, it does not give you ownership. ”
Sasuke gritted his teeth. “I meant no disrespect. I only meant that I would have made preparations for you if I were given a notice of your expected arrival.”
“Notice or warning,” Madara queried with a raised brow. He turned back to gaze out the window, pausing where the defaced hokage mountain loomed over the city. “And what kind of preparations would you have been making?”
His tone indicated he was not referring to food or lodging.
Sasuke narrowed his gaze at Madara’s back. “What is that supposed to mean?”
Madara turned around to face Sasuke. “I’ve heard a lot of rumors. Many I hope are untrue. I am worried you’re not fulfilling your duties as hokage.”
.
.
.
“She can be trusted.”
“Can she?” He cocked his head to the side. “If she is your best medic then why is she second in command, Sasuke.”
Sasuke pulled his eyes away from the kitchen door and looked at his uncle, summoning every restraint within him not to summon his chidori and run it straight through his chest. Instead, he distracted himself by composing an answer.
“There’s too many administrative duties that come with the head of the hospital,” Sasuke said. “I needed her to use her skills, not fill out paperwork.”
“So if I dug around I would find she had a clean record? No disciplinary infractions?”
“No one here has a clean history. I would be lying if she didn’t have a little rebellion at the start but wouldn’t you find that more suspicious?”
“So she is entirely loyal.”
“To me, yes,”
Madara raised his eyes.
Sasuke said nothing.
“I want suppressors back on her, Sasuke. No exceptions to the rules unless I say so.” He warned. “You are here to enforce my commands, not govern your own kingdom. I want her loyalty to me.”
.
.
.
“I get that you are mad, Sakura.”
Sakura let out a bark of harsh laughter tinged with bitterness.
“You still don’t get it Sasuke. I’m not mad. If I was mad it would mean I cared about you. It would mean that you disappointed me. But you are nothing to me. This is not some twisted and complicated story where I have high hopes and you fail to exceed my expectations. Nothing you could do will let me down because I have no expectations for you. Those were lost long ago.”
A tiredness seemed to take over her and she slowly lowered herself until she was seated on the bed, her legs tucked under herself, making her look small. Her head bowed and Sasuke watched as she stared down at her hand resting on her leg. He watched her flex her fingers, her eyes fixated with an obsessive need of assurance to watch them move as they dug into the flesh of her leg.
After a long moment she let out a sigh and she looked back up at him, her head resting against the open window frame. And despite her insistent speech, her face held a disappointment as she stared up at him before breaking the silence.
“I hate you, Sasuke, plain and simple.”
He had lost count how many times she said that to him over the course of time. He had thought he had grown immune to the effect of the words. But tonight, it stung.
This might be the most chaotic mood board but it was a tough chapter to capture in picture lol. Speaking of chapters...we got a new one up!
Chapter 20: The Holiday Reunion
Sasuke is back but there are consequences to actions. And the New Year brings an unexpected reunion that is the start of a reblooming to something old but in a new way...
Their usernames were the only names they knew each other by. Together they were the infamous team 7 that was part of the elite players that ruled the virtual battlefield of NinjaUnknowns Battlegrounds. However what do you do when your virtual life ends up being far more connected to reality than you ever thought.
PART II: FF AO3
A follow up to give the previous one shot a conclusion starting from Sakura's point of view and continuation of where Part I left off for a more final note to this short story.
Now that my writing hiatus is finally over and I've been jumping back in to my neglected stories and ideas, I decided that my sasusaku gaming AU needed a concluding follow up. I will try to get more progress updates on other stories as well but this is a start!
Part II should be up in the next week or so. This time we get a glimpse of Sakura's perspective with of course some of Sasuke as he reveals his true identity to Sakura.
Here are the links for Part I for those who need a refresher and I added a sneak peak below! FF AO3
UnknownPlayers: Reloaded
…LOADING…
The login prompt popped up on her screen and Sakura quickly began typing in her username and password. Her fingers moved rhythmically across the keys. The back light of her keyboard smoothly lightened and darkened as the LED’s transitioned through the colors of the rainbow. Purple to deep blue then lightning to yellow and green. She tabbed down and hit enter, the login immediately being replaced with the spiraling kunai as the load screen processed and disappeared to display the main menu.
It was like muscle memory. She did not even have to think about it as she moved the cursor to navigate all the gameplay settings and toggled around her stats until she was ready to enter the waiting lobby.
The screen went dark for a moment, then a slideshow of a couple of images rotated on the screen as the loading bar slowly moved to fully loaded. The moment the outline of the katana was completely filled, the screen switched and Sakura was greeted with a very familiar sight.
The backside of her avatar faced the screen as it stood in a large animated grassy field. In front of hers stood another avatar. A black haired male dressed in a roguish samurai uniform. Above the wide brimmed helmet hovered his username.
samarai_ronin23
As always she found she was the second one to join. Ronin was always first. Then usually herself then Ramen then finally the old man Scarecrow. The last two were notoriously late, Scarecrow sometimes delaying their planned missions by hours. But Sakura did not mind. She enjoyed the lengthy waits when it was just her and Ronin.
“Hey Ronin!” she said cheerily, doing her best not to make her voice sound too obnoxiously excited, she had long since given up trying to just sound casual.
“Hn.”
Sakura smiled at the familiar greeting. But then the connection remained silent.
Ever the talkative one he was, she thought.
Sakura was not exactly sure why each time she saw the user name pop onto her screen her heart did a little skip, but it did. She supposed it had something to do with the sound of his voice. A rough baritone that matched the roguish look of his avatar.
It felt silly to have a crush on someone she had never even met in real life before, but here she was. All alone in her room while her heart raced with a giddy nervousness as she struggled to find a conversational point with a boy she had never laid eyes on.
Hello, I just wanted to ask how are you? Hope you have a wonderful day!
The is a delayed answer but thank you! Hope you have a wonderful day too! I am doing well constantly thinking about my stories but each time I sit down it’s not much progress. Some, but not a lot. More recently I’ve jumped ahead and started working on later chapters and scenes and hopefully once I get past the current next chapters I will have more already ready so we will have a series of posts 🤞with the fall season coming I hope to have better progress. Autumn is my writer mood weather 🍂🍁📝
Hey I was just stalking you a little...hahaha hope you don't mind but I came from fanfiction.net and just wanted to tell you that I loved your story about ,,it started with kidnapping" it was just so cute at first and it felt so real but the end was just so sad. I hope you make an different end on how they marry and have kids or sum because the end was just to sad! I hope you are still there and continue your amazing work!
Hello from Germany.
Thank you and yes I am still here! Hope all is well in Germany! I am so happy that you found and loved this story. Have no worries it will be a happy ending that will give you those warm feels like the beginning. I was actually just working on the next chapter this morning when they encounter each other again. A quick intermission of their life apart, and then in the chapter following they will softly come back together thanks to a certain family member of Sasuke’s who can’t help but interfere with his life, which in this story could be just about all of them 😉
I cannot believe I am finally posting an update! And just a few days shy of a whole year (oops) They come too far and too few these days. But I am proud of myself for finally getting this one done. We have old familiar faces being reintroduced, an award dinner, and a surprise reveal to entertain us. Hope you enjoy it!
CHAPTER NINE: Dinning with the enemy
The wind had a bitter bite to it in the peaked heights of the mountain regions. The small village he traversed was so cold that even the thickest of cloaks could not protect any traveler at such a high altitude and strong winds. While the lowlands were still only gathering early morning frost on the ground, there was already a permanent layer of snow that crunched beneath his feet as Naruto made his way down the rocky and uneven road that ran through the nameless village.
As a particularly strong gust of wind managed to seep through the seams of his cloak, he pulled it closer around him, trying to urge his stiff legs to move faster so he could escape the harsh elements of the vicious terrain. He tucked his face deeper into the travel worn scarf that Hinata had given to him for his birthday. The one he had celebrated with his friends right before he was forced to flee his village and abandon them only a few months later. Leaving everyone behind to struggle against their new oppressive leader.
Now, the once cherry red yarn was discolored to a deep maroon from the excessive amount of dirt it absorbed in the past year as one of the ends was beginning to unravel. But Naruto held onto it and wore it like a talisman given to him by a goddess herself. Because with so many life changing events in the past couple of years, that was certainly one thing that made this all the more difficult. The shift in how he saw the girl he once saw as the quiet Hyuga that had chronic fainting spells. Because recently it was revealed to him that she was so much more than that. And he wanted so much more from her. His time had just gotten cut short. And opportunity was snatched from him before he even realized he could have one.
As he reached the center of the worn village, he lifted his head to take in the decaying outpost that also served as the local watering hole and inn. It was not exactly the most established village given the decades it had hosted weary travelers, no one had ever bothered to give it a name. Not that it had any reputation that would even mimic civil hospitality. In fact, village was a gratuitous word for describing the handful of buildings and collection of hovels that served as homes for the locals. It was a settlement where, like the rough and harsh terrain of the mountainside, its people were even more merciless.
It was the kind of place in which those who did not wish to be found, sought out to lay low. Names did not exist. And if you were fool enough to share a name, only the names that belonged to those with a hefty price on their head were declared notable. And in a city of rogue shinobi and outlaws, that was everyone. True names were sometimes worth just as much as the ryo collected by bounty hunters.
So as Naruto took the half rotten steps up to the crooked door of the small inn, he made sure to keep the hood of his cloak pulled low as he slipped into the warmth of the establishment.
He hardly paused in the threshold, immediately making his way towards the back habitually. And just like every time he found himself in this miscreant location, he found two figures were already seated at his destined table. Each of them sitting still with their heads low and covered just as his.
In any other place such habits and actions would seem suspicious. But when everyone seemed to be hiding anything that would identify them, it went ignored. For to get into one person's business, one would be forced to bring up one's own.
Naruto slid into the empty bench across from the two figures, causing them to lift their heads just enough to let the flickering light from the candle in the center of their table illuminate their faces. One, which possessed the features that mimicked another dark haired and onyx eyed ex teammate, looked at him with a blank expression void of any emotion. The other, shadowed by the candle light, his face held the ever haunting look that Naruto had seen one too many times when the wood release user was giving a threat.
"You look like shit," Sai said leaned forward and sniffed. His nose wrinkled in displeasure. "And you smell like it too."
I finally did it! I got an update finished and posted. The first of hopefully many of 2022!
The Graduation:
It's the end of another chapter in their lives. The group has now reached that moment when they say goodbye to childhood innocence and bliss and start their journey's into the messy and complicated world of adulthood. It was supposed to be a joyous occasion but life is never simple...
