You have an interesting view on how they screwed up his arc in TROS because I don't usually hear ppl saying that he is just as valid being "Kylo Ren" but I thought about it more and I agree. It's like telling a traumatized person that they're not loved if they show their negative emotions

Kylo Ren deserved to be loved as he was. For Rey to be like, “I wanted to take Ben’s hand”... bitch, are you fucking serious? Go fuck yourself. Who killed Snoke? Kylo Ren. Who told you that you weren’t alone? Kylo Ren. Who had compassion for you? Kylo Ren!! He’s fucking multi-faceted, he’s not Ben Solo when he’s Soft and Kylo Ren when he’s... not. 

Kylo Ren spent his entire life feeling as if his agency was sapped from him, as if he did not have a choice in his future. The choice of his identity was his one use of agency he feels he had and she just stomps all over it, lol. For him to be told he only deserves acceptance when he’s the very same person he abandoned because of pain and rejection is like a slap in the fucking face. 

He was owed love in his darkness, it’s precisely because he was never afforded it that he descended further into despair??? Love this for him.

Rey goes for a walk in the forest, to find peace…to find answers within herself….Then suddenly she feels something in the Force…a figure of a small boy runs across the path in front of her. He feels somehow familiar…

As she watches the child, the trees begin to thin and transform into tall white pillars…

 A tall figure appears in the distance, the little boy happily runs to him…the man holds out its arms, swinging the laughing child into the air..she could recognize “him” anywhere…Ben. And their child. Her family.

When she opened her teary eyes again…the force vision was gone.

She was alone with her thoughts again…but was she tho?
