My diamond in the rough that plays even rougher! Currently Married to Donatello Hamato from the Rise series. Their ship name is Nuts and Bolts! Though Kaytello/Donaden is also accepted.
Their relationship arc includes a slowburn friends to lovers, with copious amounts of mutual pining. It’s love at first sight, really, but they’re too dumb to realize! Donatello and Kayden meet during the very first episode of Rise, almost instantly clicking over science-related interests. The more they hung out, the greater “friends” they became… Not just because they were nerds, either. Kayden was a major support and ego boost for Donnie. Cute but mean, they were just Donnie’s type; and Donnie was such a huge help with Kayden’s projects, or anything else they needed… even when they were searing with anger. Right at the season finale, they finally confess after a “If I don’t make it out of this: I love you!” from Kayden. Cheesy, I know, but it works so well. Currently, Kayden is 22, and Donnie is 21, and they married around one year beforehand. If you wanna know more, check out my tiktok linked below!

Harley Jones
@monebula-art
Harley Jones. The quiet and capable farm-hand living on the formerly dilapidated Jones’ Family Farmhouse. She’s Casey’s younger cousin, at 16 and lives alone, keeping the old farm up when one winter morning: four wounded turtles and a rat, driven from their home, show up on her doorstep….
Hamato Leonardo from the 2003!TMNT series. Through the strange and violent circumstances of Leonardo’s life, they meet at one of his lowest points and Harley is a quiet but steady presence when his world feels like it’s shattering. They build a close knit bond of friendship and deep understanding that eventually blossoms into an epic slowburn romance.
——-
“The burden we carry is heavy…. And we do it to ourselves, that much is true. But I don’t have to carry anything extra with you. You see me. Just me. And when I’m with you, ‘just me’ finally starts to feel like enough.”
She runs the Jones’ Family Farm. He’s a mutant turtle ninja from the big city.
They couldn’t be more different.
But their convictions-- senses of loyalty, compassion, duty, family, responsibility, is something they both understand all too well.
Harley isn't a conflicted soul who needs guiding to the right path. She isn't one of his brothers who's relying on him to keep it together.
Leonardo isn’t trying to pick her apart. He sees what she’s capable of, what she’s worked so hard to build and cultivate and he respects her, and perhaps even admires her for it.
Two strange teens fighting tooth and nail just to stay above the tides of the world and its whims. And in the chaos of your storm, the one person to take your hand is someone you’ll risk it all to hold onto.
How are Dinomite’s kids supporting their parents in the tournament?

"I think if you get anymore excited you're gonna take flight." Donnie chuckled, and Sam very much was inclined to agree with him. Walking around the competition hall was unlike anything she'd experienced before; she'd never known there could be so many different Donnies all in one place at one time.
"Well, can you blame me?" Sam spread her free arm -- the one that wasn't currently holding her Donnie's hand -- and gestured to the hammer space. "There's so many new friends to make! I was too shy to say anything to anyone last time; let me have this!"
"Fine, but I'm gonna complain the whole time." Donnie rolled his eyes good naturedly.
"I'd expect nothing less from you, Dee." Sam pressed a quick peck to her favorite turtle's cheek.
If Sam had to rate how the day went, she'd definitely have to give it a 100/10. Or on the Donnie scale: extremely satisfied.
There was Chandler - a redhead in cargo pants and crop top that very enthusiastically shouted, "I LOVE YOUR SHIRT!" upon seeing Sam's t-shirt.
"Her taste in romantic partners leaves something to be desired." Donnie mumbled, and Sam gave him a small tap on his plastron.
"You're just saying that cause she's dating a Leo." Sam rolled her eyes as Chandler and her Leo came up to them and started chatting.
Then, there had been Quarry, the one who had put the whole competition together in the first place. They had been the first one to compliment the shirt with a laugh and: "that's funny!", and she'd sent the two of them in the direction of the snack table.
"I keep forgetting pop culture references were lost on you until a few minutes ago." Donnie swiped through his phone, merely watching as Sam let her forehead hit the tabletop, not from embarrassment, but from the rapid fire "pop culture 101" she'd just been put through courtesy of Emmy (a turtle yokai who was dating her universe's Raph), Harley (a very pretty brunette who was dating her universe's Leo), and Min (dating her universe's Leo and had intrigued Sam due to the pink in her hair).
"I don't think my brain has hurt this bad since they stuck the ethernet cable into my frontal lobe as a kid." Sam moaned. Donnie paused mid sip of his drink and gave his girlfriend (it still made him giddy to say that) a concerned look. Sam would often drop little tidbits of her backstory like that in the most casual way, like it was no big deal.
Sam finally lifted her head off the tabletop with a deep sigh and a "whoo!"
"Well, enough wallowing in my past; we got more people to see!" She hopped off her chair like she hadn't just dropped a massive lore bomb, almost leaving Donnie behind.
"Didn't you say there was one person you really wanted to see since you missed last year?" Donnie caught up to his bouncy blonde charge.
"Yeah, over there." Sam pointed towards where the Raph's of the competition had congregated, focusing on the tall purple Godzilla-esque yokai and her Raph off to the side. Donnie pulled up the current stats on his wristband: a database of every competitor for this year, and scrolled to find the profile that matched.
"Sharron; that's her name. So what's the big deal?" Donnie raised an eyebrow.
"You know how I'm always joking that a Raph hug could solve my problems?" Sam asked. "I honestly think a Sharron hug could just fix me in general. Look at them." She gestured to the pair in question; Sharron and Raph had taken some Coca-Cola and a handful of Mentos and were mixing them to make soda rockets in their mouths.
It was turning into a frothy carbonated mess, but everyone was getting a kick out of it.
"Those two are pretty much made for each other."
"Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised. I did once promise my own Raph $20 if he shoved a piece of military technology up his nose." Donnie admitted, rubbing the space between his eyes.
Sam took in several deep breaths and then shouted at the top of her lungs: "SHARRON YOU'RE MY FAVORITE! I LOVE YOU!"
Sharron perked up, soda foam coming out of her nostrils still, but she picked up on Sam and waved, eyes lighting up at the sight of tiny Sam getting over her shyness to say that.
"Oh Pizza Supreme I did it." Sam buried her face in her hands, cheeks red.
"Good for you?" Donnie questioned.
"I've been wanting to do that for SO long, and now that I finally did I think I'm gonna faint." Sam let herself go limp, only to be caught effortlessly by the arms on Donnie's BattleShell.
"And April accuses me of being the dramatic one."
"You are though, I know you carry that title with pride, Donatello." Sam peeked one eye open. "Not to say that you haven't been rubbing off on me, you bad influence."
"Emotionally unavailable bad boy image to maintain, after all." Donnie pretended to wipe down his face and steel it into a neutral expression, which just made Sam snort and before long the two of them had dissolved into giggles.
"Okay, so what do we do now?" Donnie asked once him and Sam had gotten their breath back.
"Well, there's still a lot of interactions to do. Let's see where the hammer space will lead us." Sam tugged Donnie along by the hand, and like the smitten teenage turtle he was, he followed.
