Love. It’s buried inside everything I believe in. It’s responsible for the birth of all the scars that I come with & the lessons that have aided in healing them. It shows itself in the vibrations of my speech. It burns down all my attempts to hate the things I cannot control. Love is the skin I’m wrapped in. I can’t walk out my house without smelling like I bathed in it. It gives me hope. I watch things & try to understand them & God shows me all the answers through his love for me. Through his blessings, I am able to bend words & create homes in them. Those homes house all my perceptions. My biases & my apprehensions. I see the world in several colors of love. Even when it’s dark, love is the brightest shade of black I’ve ever seen. I care about love because it’s always found a way to care about me. I can’t give up or get away from a power that resilient. It follows me. We make decisions together. Mistakes ultimately have purpose because of love. People ultimately have a purpose because of love. & I care about people. Above all else, I care about people. How they’ve been. How they want to be & finally, who they actually end up being. It’s my favorite idea to get lost in. If God made it, I give it love.
