I have never been so angry in my life.

Gryffie Updates
I would like to start off with giving my congratulations to Zian Chung, Zachary Torrent, Kai Diemos, and Caroline Smith for making up the new additions to the Gryffindor Quidditch team! We'll all be rooting them on at their next match! I would also like to announce a couple of new things that we've recently started. The first thing I would like to say is that we now have a Birthday Thread for all Gryffies to sign up for and get special gifts from Sir Nick on their Birthday! That can be found here And lastly, we have recently created a brand new area for all of you Gryffies to write your thought and inner most secrets down. The Gryffindor Diaries forum is now up and running right this way
As some of you may know, our very own Slytherin Prefect Thomas Lynch was recently involved in a horrendous car accident. Due to this accident, he's currently in the hospital with two broken legs and is due to under go surgery tomorrow. We would like to dedicate this thread for anyone who would like to leave him a nice message or a graphic. As always, we kindly ask that you link any graphics that are really large. Get well soon Thomas. <3 Update: I was just told that Thomas is bleeding too much so the surgery has been moved. He under goes surgery in half an hour. Update: Thankfully the worst part of the surgery is over. The doctors were able to stop his bleeding, and now they're putting the pins in his legs. He should hopefully be out of the OR soon <3
New changes around the house!
I know it's a little late, but I would like to congratulate Alera Summers on stepping up and taking on the position as Gryffindor's new Head of House! Along with that, I would also like to welcome Gryffindor's newest Prefect, Zachary Torrent! With Ava moving on and graduating, Zachary will be taking on her position and we're sure he'll do amazing! Once again congratulations to all the new Gryffindor Staff.
Reminder
This is just a little announcement to catch all you Gryffies up with house happenings.
Firstly, the Gryffindor house awards are still open, but only until December 17th, 11:59 LA time, so be sure to get your votes in before time runs out!
Next up, I want to remind everyone that the sing up for the secret Santa event sign up will be closing soon, so if you're interested in being someone's secret Santa you'll want to make sure you sign up for that asap.
Lastly, Prefect applications have just been opened. With our one and only Ava Everwood graduating, we're in need of someone to move up and take her position. I want to wish all applicants good luck as well as wish Ava good luck moving into graduate life.
Gryffindor Happenings!
Hey, all you Gryffindors- yes, you. It's term break, and there's loads going on. Firstly, your lovely House Staff has been working with Slytherins to make the Gryffindor Glitch - Slytherin Switch Event happen. Now that's it's up an running, we'd love for all of you to participate in it. As of today, Secret Santa sign-ups have started, and that's always a blast; even more so this year since it's with Ravenclaw! Along with that, votes for House Awards are now being accepted, so please send those in - they won't happen without you! As a quick reminder, Staff Appreciation Week is coming soon, so I hope you're all getting ready to show some love for all those lovely people. Lastly, for all of you participating in the Clash of the GryffWINdors event, make sure you post any last minute posts to either the Red Team thread or the Gold Team thread. Once all homework is graded, the winner for this term will be announced - then we can start getting prepared for next term's competition!
Whew, I think that's all. So get to it Gryffindors! There's lots to be done!
Gryffindor Halloween Activities
Hey all you Gryffindors! Halloween is coming to an end, but there's still time left! Keep on participating at the Ball and Trick or Treating! Also, if you hadn't noticed, the House Staff has set up a few activities of their own: A Murder Mystery and Pumpkin Coloring! So go do those as well :3
This is a RP contest, so get on out there and have some fun while earning Gryffindor some points!
As a reminder, trick or treating in the Professor's offices is also going on. At the end of the ball, you'll get a special prize for each Professor's office that you posted in and went trick or treating. :)
Hello Gryffinpuffs! Since the simple thought of lions and badgers together is pure awesomeness, our house staff thought it’d be best if we left Hogwarts for a bit. We wouldn’t the castle to implode because the mere presence of all of us was too great for it to handle. So where are we taking you all? Well, we’re glad you asked. Camping in the Forest of Dean! That’s right! The ever lovely Professor Claythorn and Li Tsai have arranged for a portkey to take both of the houses to the Forest. Once in the Forest of Dean, you’re allowed to create all your own threads. Perhaps set up your tent, go for a hike, sleep underneath the stars, and stay up late talking with all your friends! Your imagination is the limit! Along with the opportunity to create your own thread, the house staffs have set up a few activities for your enjoyment. They include going on a nature walk let by two of the student staff, sitting around a campfire where you can tell stories and eat s’mores, and a few puzzles you can complete at your leisure. As a special treat, if you participate in this camping trip you’ll receive a special item prize to help you always remember the time when both our houses were too supermegafoxyawesomehot for Hogwarts. Oh, and the camping trip. To help you remember the camping trip :3 The event will run till September 30th, 11:59 LA time. If you have any questions please feel free to direct them to any of the house staff.

I want to take this time to say congratulations to our very own Iona Darrow for becoming the newest LA Head Girl. She has been our Quidditch Captain for many terms now and has been given this great responsibility due to her hard work and determination. I am sure she will continue to make this House proud and so from all of us Gryffindors

Term 13 has started!
The new term has officially started! Lessons should be up shortly, so let's all get out there and show all the other houses what Gryffindor is made of!
For anyone who hasn't done so yet, if you visit the common room there is a "Clash of the Gryffwindors" thread for you to sign up for where you'll be put on a team (Red or Gold) and at the end of the term the team with the most points (Via homework or other events we set up) will get an awesome prize! Of course everyone will get a little something for participating :3

Beach Party!
Aloha! The Gryffindor House Staff is now holding a Beach Party, a luau if you will, for students participating in the house competition known as ‘Clash of the GryffWINdors.’ The range of activities you can RP are plentiful and are sure to have a good time, all you have to do is use your imagination a bit. If you have would like to participate, but have not signed up for a team, just post here and that’ll be fixed immediately (: The event is being held at Whitehorn Woods. You can either join your Captain’s starting post or create your own. This is meant to be a house bonding along with a team bonding event, meaning you can RP with members of the other team. This event will also be the first time you can rack up points for your individual team!

New Quidditch Co-Captain
Please all join me in congratulating Cinnamon Hotchkiss, who has been elected to be the new Gryffindor Quidditch Co-Captain.
She has demonstrated great work ethics and a thrist for learning and improving on her skills. She has risen to every challenge thrown at her and has emerged on top. For this, she has been awarded this new challenge.
Congrats to Cinna once more and I am sure she will make this House very proud.
House Events
We have 2 exciting features that are now open to you in the CR.
First off, we have the Gryffie House Awards that we ask for the House at large to vote on. All you have to do is owl your votes to me, Arwen Claythorn, and we will announce the winners at the end of the Term Break
Also, we have an inner-House competition. We decided to bring some activeness to this House so we decided to pin you against each other. Team Red will be Arwen's team while Gold will be Cari's team. Every once in a while we will give you tasks and contest for you to participate in which will allow you to accumulate points for your team. At the end of the term, the team with the most points will win a special prize.
All you have to do for now is sign up in the CR in Crash of the Gryffwindor thread and we will set you up on a team. Also read that thread for more information. The competiton starts at the beginning of the new term so sign up now so you do not miss any of the action
