Day 7 of 365, as I embark on this photochallenge I'm learning that I enjoy photographing people much more than architecture, animals, etc...I enjoy photogrpahing people in the candid moments (not aware of the photographer) because the moment is unscripted. I also enjoy the conversations with people from all walks of life. I've also learned that a great deal of patience comes along with being a photographer. Patience has always been one of my weakest attributes, but when it comes to taking photos I'll sit there until a intresting subject presents a moment worth capturing. I would say my patience is getting better, because this is my second attempt at this skate park in the past two weeks haha. Everyone has a story, the kid with the Maple leaf shirt told me he broke his collar bone recently. I looked at him with a concerned faced as he skated fearlessly with the other 20+ skaters at this small park. In the mist of the covo he asked me if I could sign or contact him as a photographer. I laughed and told him...."man I can't afford to contract myself." As a token I gave him my business card and added him on Facebook. Hopefully he adds me and likes this pic. Day 6 of 365...Brands, they are more powerful than they were 10 years ago. Think about the last time you bought a pair of sneakers, done thinking? Now recall those moments as a kid when companies like footlocker and their employees were eager to "Sale" you the latest pair of shoes. My point is that no matter what type of footwear a person likes, 9/10 times you will buy a brand based on its prestige. If you think this is false, do what I did.
