I’m so glad you could make it.. I know how much you love our lemonade :). I think we have all heard the famous, “When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade” speech. Well, this our recipe book if you will. A place to share all of the special and sometimes sour ingredients contributing to our bitter-sweet cocktail that is, Jay and Ny. Fused by the "taboo" that is “internet dating”, we literally found love at first ‘click’ and haven’t pressed ‘back’ ever since. We offer honest and personal advice to all LGBTQ people, their friends and their family. We make videos together, showcasing our Love-Life, Laughs, Struggles and Strengths, which you can find on our YouTube Channel. Being young women of colour, we also tackle the many issues and stereotypes faced by the ethnic LGBTQ community as we show you, and share with you our unique outlook and experiences. Embroidered together beautifully by a social “no-no”, but often fighting being ripped apart by societal and cultural traditions we are simply Jay and Ny. We have learned to love the lemons life has thrown our way, blend them all together and share them with you as a delicious cocktail. So enjoy your drink, it’s on us! ;)

There is truth to stereotypes, but this does not mean that somebody should feel pressured to follow one because it’s what society says they should do. A christian gay does not have to become agnostic. A femme does not have to become butch just to be seen as a lesbian (an issue known as Femme Invisibility). A masculine straight girl should not have to prove that she is straight by becoming feminine!

Stereotypes are not a tool for you to find out somebody’s sexuality or gender identity.
