Me watching bts perform just one day tomorrow and cypher pt 4 while knowing that they were exhausted and had been working for 24 hrs straight on like two hours of sleep

bts recording for 24hrs????

news was released recently about bts being stuck filming for an entire day on no sleep. at this point, i’m equal parts angry and concerned for bts…i know they’ve blown up so much in the past year alone, but why are they recording/performing 8 songs for a comeback? why can’t they do their title like other artists and get to go home? it’s super tiring to film even one song. i thought run promotions were bad in which they barely slept 5 hrs over the span of 3 days, but this is getting out of hand

if they’ve been RECORDING for 22+ hours, where is the time for them to eat? they only got 2 hrs of rest the previous night before starting @mnet at 4:30am, which means that they got up way before to prep for the show. that’s not a “tight schedule”, it’s called overworking the artists. not only that, they’re going straight to another recording afterwards, and that will also take a long time

so why didn’t bighit push back and tell mnet that they’re NOT allowing bts to work under such harsh circumstances?bts clearly doesn’t need more promotion at this point in their careers, and bighit has high leverage over these shows due to their popularity. bts is going to burn out very quickly if things continue this way, as with most kpop groups. this is unfair to their health and their careers, in which they’ve said multiple times they want to continue for a long time

dancing is a tough gig. dancing for more than 5 hours is even harder, and dancing for 24hrs on 2hrs of sleep is fucking impossible. i don’t know how mnet/bighit expect these performances to turn out well, bc bts already seems exhausted in the first TWO comeback stages, and if they’re not eating as much as they usually do to keep their weight in check? injury announcements are going to be popping up soon

bts needs to take care of their bodies, and bighit isn’t letting them. the company needs to stop. debut more groups. give them a regular promotion period (like EXO or TWICE received), hell even pull a YG and prevent them from performing at every available show. i support bts, but i don’t support bighit. this is unacceptable to both fans and their artists.

bighit had the power to choose what shows bts can and couldn’t go on during comeback season. they had every opportunity to tell mnet “hey we don’t want bts on your show” but didn’t and are pushing bts to their limits.

making a post may not change anything but it’s important to be aware of these issues instead of turning a blind eye and acting like bts is fine. they’ve clearly lost a lot of weight and are not well-rested, we need to acknowledge that instead of pretending they’re in prime condition. not eating and not sleeping makes bts more prone to getting sick and also potentially getting hurt.

So Jeff Benjamin, the guy from Billboard that’s cool w BTS so a bunch of ARMYs are up his ass, recently had a podcast where his friends said they didn’t like Jimin and Taehyung’s voices and mocked their voices and one of them said Namjoon looked “ridiculous” in DNA and they basically talked a bunch if crap and Jeff didnt say shit in BTS’s defense so ARMYs are coming for him :)
