‘A Moment to Rest’ drops as a print Thurs Nov 25th, 12PM (PT) on my store! This painting was for my exhibition, ‘Breathe.’ The red string that wraps around the figure is a reference to the Chinese legend, ‘the red thread of fate.’ The original legend is about the fated bond between soulmates, but for this piece I wanted to reinterpret it to a story about us being connected to our own individual fated stories by this unbreakable string. I loved this idea, that no matter how many times the thread gets tangled or how many times we trip over, we’re still on the same journey to that same end. In other words: even though shit happens along the way, things will work out the way they’re meant to be.
A choir from West Africa visited us during orchestra rehearsal earlier today. They’re currently touring the region. They sounded so good, and the kids are so adorable!!
Doing score reading for tonight’s concert; the stress is REAL. I’m so nervous despite the videographer telling me not to freak out so much.
So incredibly fortunate to have met Klaus Trumpf! Hearing him talk about Sperger, makes you want to perform his pieces 😊Herr Trumpf kept telling everyone to perform more of Sperger’s works. I’ve played Sperger’s Sonata D-Dur (T40) and loved it. Hmm maybe I shall look up on his other works 😉
One of the best thing that is in the Bass Studio haha
SENIOR RECITAL: Amore e perdita
YOU GUYS, I’M GOING TO BE GRADUATING SOON *SCREAM*
I would like to invite everyone to come and join me in a night of PASSION and ROMANCE!
Nah I’m just kidding 😝 BUT, it will be a night of love and loss - amore e perdita. You’ll get a chance to see Amelia Hayes and I in action, performing a duet! *GASP*
I hope to see everyone there ☺️❤️
Zhang DaXun came by today! Hearing him perform, it was amazing~ He is so chilled and friendly.
Open rehearsal today; definitely something interesting but I have a feeling half of the audience were falling asleep haha. It was great playing this piece again.
Listening to my senior recital playlist while chilling. How I wish it was slightly colder so that I could wrap myself in a blanket and have tea.
Say you'll remember me Standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset babe Red lips and rosy cheeks - Taylor Swift
Listening to them talk is absolutely incredible. These people are the OGs yo!
I am so fortunate to be a part of this performance <3 looking forward to performing this Saturday!
