“I’m fine! I… Ow!” Chiaki’s entire arm twitched and he tried to pull it back from Kaoru’s grasp to no avail. Making a face, he knew he fussed mostly because he was embarrassed and that made him even more embarrassed. Kaoru shouldn’t have to care for him like this, Kaoru shouldn’t have to see him like this. It felt like a failure, somehow, and that he was taking advantage of his friend’s kindness when he probably had other things he’d much rather do than to sit here together with Chiaki and his bleeding arm.

“Yea Yea i know it stings. But you’re a hero aren’t you? You can sit through this just fine~” He gently ruffles the other males hair. Honestly how did he get hurt so easily. Kaoru was gonna have to invest in a child leash at this rate. Jeez what a pain. “Moricchi. what mess did you get into this time? At this rate I’m gonna end up bubble wrapping you just to save myself some work.”

“Ah… I’ve mentioned it to Wataru, naturally. No one else, though. Tori, bless his heart, wouldn’t be able to keep quiet about it.” Looking a little put off, Eichi pouted. “Ah, but I think our uniforms are very pretty, actually… You don’t think so?”

He winced a little at the thought of their dad chewing Kaoru out like that. How unpleasant… If their dad could simply lay off Kaoru and let him live the way he wanted, that would be ideal. But that would probably never happen, now would it? 

“You don’t think I am the villain, then? I am a ‘the ends justifies the means’ kind of person, aren’t I? What is that, if not villainous? Also, most of the school hates me. And the unity is a lot stronger between the students, and therefore they manage to produce better results in general, no?”

“You’d be surprised. I think some sap at school already beat you too it. So please don’t try to actively set fire to water.” 

*Wataru* huh? So Eichi trusted the guy that much? It’s not like Kaoru was actively hiding that Eichi was his brother. He just didn’t talk about his family and changed the topic when anyone asked questions he deemed too personal. His business was his business. Everyone else could butt out. “I don’t talk about personal things with my unit. We aren’t friends so it’s not like I have to tell them anything.”

He gently smacked his slightly older brother on the back of his head. “You’re not a villain. Sometimes you get so caught up in your plans I think you really forget that you are a person too. Purposely making people hate you isn’t going to make up for last year. I just worry that your trying to punish yourself or something equally as stupid.”

There was surprise in her expression as she went to catch up with her father, after running down a few more aisles for extra groceries. Tsumugi told her father everything was more or less fine, but she seemed concerned for a friend and was asking if it would be alright if they went there separate ways after returning home which was of course alright with his father as she had expressed major concern. 

Text: “A-Ahh.. Wait, why does it sound as if this a normal thing? (Ｔ▽Ｔ)” 

Still, she ended up chuckling at all the emojis he sent her. But to her surprise she re-read the first line as her father peeked over at her phone, puzzled, but nevertheless kept smiling.

Text:  “But you have a partner? I didn’t realize that you were in a romantic relationship. Congrats~”

From the sounds of it, she couldn’t depict whether or not he meant idol partner or not. But went with a rushed thought of her own. 

Her last text made him stutter and he almost choked on air. That would have been such a lame way to die. He had gotten so used to calling Rei his partner in the idol world he had forgotten it could be mistaken as something romantic out of context. 

Text: While we’re a p interesting group lol, one time of of members even bent steel bars. Crazy right?

The litte fox swatted at the dirt that was flying everywhere. “We can win together!! Pals pals pals pals!! Mouse pals! We share the win because we are friends!! Friends!” He went on the hunt for the mouse as well, he wanted to win even if they were on the same side!! “We can even eat the mouse together!!”

Why was there no reply? Kioshi stared at the door for a moment, before fishing up his key from his pocket, unlocking it and throwing it open. He quickly walked over to ‘Leo’ and backhanded him. “Didn’t you hear me?”

Beep beep. His phone? No. Izumi’s friend’s phone! Leo was about to check on it when the young woman peeked inside. Was that Kaoru’s mom? Sister? “Uh…? Huh? R-right, hold on, gotta check…” He fumbled with his (Kaoru’s) phone and managed to unlock it after a couple of tries. That… Was his number! OH.

The pain of the slap startled him and snapped Kaoru’s attention to the asshole that just came up to him and slapped him for no reason. Kaoru and his own dad had traded blows on the very rare occasion that their fights reached that point. But it was always a mutual agreement that if you hit someone, you couldn’t bitch if you got hit back. 

Without thinking to much about the consequence, His fist connected with the guys face. It wasn’t the best punch in the world as Leo’s body was alot shorter then his and kinda noodley, but it still left a satisfying crunch, hopefully from the guys nose breaking. “I heard you just fine, get out of my room dude. I’m busy.” He glared harshly at the guy. Who slapped their son like that unprompted anyway? 

Deciding to ignore the guy he pressed a hand to his throbbing cheek as he responded to Leo’s message. 

[Text:] No idea man, but ur dad is rlly pissin me off. Dude slapped me, wtf is up with that?

She smiled and shook her head fondly as she watched her brother check his phone. “Texting more girls? This early in the morning huh~?” Deeming Kaoru okay for now she moved further out of the door way to head back downstairs. “Don’t forget to eat before you head out. If you skip breakfast again I think dad might just die from an enraged heartattack.”
