Hello Hello, if you're here you probably found me through the fic I'm writing on Ao3, titled 'Luck', given thats the only place I've really advertised this blog lmao. (if u haven't come here from there; hello also)

I'm a hobbyist writer and artist, most of the posts here will likely be related to Luck and writing, though when I end up drawing smthing it'll probably end up reblogged here from my art blog.

there is something so achingly awful about getting caught in a good story and being invested and enjoying it only for it to take a left turn in a direction you absolutely did not expect or really sign up for, no real warnings of any kind, and like- its still the same story, still well written and delightful, and you would have been /okay/ with this sort of left turn if it had been foreshadowed or forewarned in any way- but it wasnt and now youre just left with an aching disappointment and loss for what you wanted the story to be, and, to some extent, loss for the time spent reading it (even though its /good/ and you would have been /fine/ with the turn, but it wasnt warned and now everything is just... sour.)

#so anyway i stayed up til 2 am reading a fic bc i was Invested and only like. 28 chapters in (out of 36) did the left turn hit #and GOD.#it hurts bc i stayed up late for this and i dont even get some form of happy resolution #even unfinished fics have a Happy Resolution #bc you can take the unfinished bit and let your mind spin its own ideas and stories from it #but this one is just sour and unhappy now.#and #looking back on it #yeah i can see why this turn came up #but /only in hindsight/#there was no real foreshadowing #or repetative themes in the story #just... one minor hint and vibes that can only be identified in retrospect #anyway im having A Time.#....#i really #REALLY #hope to god luck doesnt give anyone this sort of disappointment #i cant exactly... stop it from happening #the best i can do is set up the tags so people know what theyre in for.#(and there are tags that will be added. just... not until those story elements actually hit bc i am nothing if not dedicated to secrecy)#ladminramblin #emotional ladmin is emotional #....eh #not gonna put this in the main pressure ficwip tag.#not really relevant.

love the word pandemonium. here is every single demon ever. go ham.

Chapter 2/3rds ish to 3/4ths of the way proseified, with 1/3rd ish to 2/4ths still in need of editing, (the remaining fraction has already had editing passes bc editing brain can boot up /fast/, it's really easy for me to nitpick wording lol.)

but!! productive writing!! (i should. probably schedule more than One writing day a week but i am /struggling/ man.)

#at the very least ive been making that one day count.#and with my liveblogging writing thoughts i have a measure of how long i've been actually writing for finally!!#and wow!! i can apparently bang out around 1/3rd to 1/4th of a chapter in around an hour with a skeleton #and i can hammer out skeletons in as little as 30 minutes if the muse is with me.#neato burrito #takin a break now bc uh. last week i got. migraine. ow.#ladminramblin #the pressure ficwip

stop nitpicking wording, stop nitpicking wording, you can adjust things in the editing pass JUST WRITE MORE WORDS FIRST stop /nitpicking/ i swear to god.

Chapter is /finally/ fully prose-ified, now i gotta do an editing pass (which should be easy considering i've already edited around half the chapter already) and add some final touches.

ill b honest, chapter will probably drop tomorrow bc prose brain is finally working and i have near-complete skeletons of the next two lives so im just gonna Chugga Chugga and ride the prose train until it crashes.

catch me almost hitting the post button on the chapter when inserting the endnotes before the final editing pass and then the paste of the /actual/ chapter into the draft.

i am SO fussy with how the 'zalgo text' looks man. i'll zalgo-fy individual letters at a time to make it look the way i want sometimes.
