How to Become a Hunter of Artemis:

Just ask and repeat this oath, "I pledge myself to the Goddess Artemis. I turn my back to all romance, accept eternal maidenhood, and join the Hunt".

After this you will become an immortal hunter of Artemis.

As a Hunter you will be expected to:

Swear off all romance.

Protect your sister maidens.

Pledge yourself to me and the hunt.

Benefits of being a Hunter include:

As a Hunter you become semi-immortal, and cannot die from illnesses, age, or natural causes. However, Hunters can still be killed in battle.

You will be granted eternal youth and stop aging once you become a Hunter.

If you break your oath (e.g., by falling in love), you will lose your immortality and revert to a normal, mortal lifespan.

You will have heightened abelites, including heightened speed, agility, stealth, and strength. You will also have extraordinary skills with a bow and arrow.

Furthermore, you will be able to summon weapons such as bows, silver arrows, and daggers at will.

 You will carry small boxes that can expand into full-sized tents, making camp setup instantaneous.

Hunters can communicate with wild animals, particularly wolves and other forest creatures.

You will gain superior tracking abilities and the ability to thrive in any natural environment.

Night vision.

About Artemis

Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, the Moon, chastity and protector of women & childbirth.

My symbols include a bow and arrow, a stag or doe, the moon, and a cypress tree.

My main powers are unrivaled archery skills (looking at you Apollo), control over wild animals, and nature manipulation.

I accept men/boys into the Hunters of Artemis (rare) as long as they respect the hunt, the hunters, and our values, swear off all romance, and prove themselves worthy.

Of course, I will always love my dear Hunter Zoey's constellation, The Huntress. I also have admiration for the Sagittarius constellation.

Hippolytus was one of my rare male Hunters, which Aphrodite took personally. She made his stepmother, Phaedra, fall in love with him, and when Hippolytus refused her, she went to his father, Theseus, telling him that he forced himself on her. Theseus then went to call in a favor from his father Poseidon, asking him to kill Hippolytus. Poseidon sent a sea monster to spook Hippolytus' horses, who subsequently drag him to his death. There was no way I was letting him die for something so stupid, so I went to Asclepius to resurrect him. He then moved to Latium and became the Roman god Virbius.

Honestly, for the most part, it's fairly accurate. My biggest gripe is that so many people view me as a lesbian. My view on marriage and romance remains the same, regardless of the person.

(ooc: Greek mythology is fickle, and a lot of it is up to interpretation, so people can believe whatever they'd like. It's just my personal belief that Artemis was aroace.)

Are you and Hippolytus/Virbius still in contact?

Yes, actually. While he is not always with the Hunters due to Aphrodite, he never broke his vow after he was revived and occasionally joins us on our hunts. I still haven't forgiven Aphrodite for getting him killed over something so petty.
