Whats to Find
Nisha blinked in surprise. The woman was picking up her groceries. “P-Presidium,” she quietly confirmed, a bit bewildered. First the strange woman had scared the living daylights out of her. Now she was helping her. Or trying to placate her so Nisha would calm down and cooperate. The latter was far more likely, so she remained on her guard.
Which was apparently for the best. The woman wanted to get her alone. She took another step back and the woman neared again. “I-I…I would prefer…not doing that. Can we not…go to some…cafe or something?” Somewhere remotely public, so the woman wouldn’t, hopefully, try anything. The words she spoke did cause Nisha to raise a brow in curiosity, or perhaps suspicion. A topic not favorable to those on the Citadel. “W-what are you….” Her mind began to work, or tried to, through the residual panic. The woman knew her by name. She wanted information. It was a sensitive topic. Only one thing came forward in her mind. Cerberus. It was the only thing she had a connection to that fit.
“I…I think I…. I really…. I am not sure that you….” Her nerves were making it difficult to form proper words and sentences, so she paused for several deep, slow breaths. “A-alright. Though…I am not sure I…would know what you might want. …. And if you…try anything. People will…come looking.” She wasn’t entirely sure that was true, but they had once before. An N7 soldier, a private detective, and an ardat-yakshi. Yes, she knew people, though it was only a minor comfort. They were no use if she died before they realized she’d gone missing.
"All I desire is information and I will be as I was before - a passing face in the streets of the Presidium. You will hear nothing of me again.. unless, of course, you want too." That smile of hers was by far all too eager, and yet she obediently stood with groceries in each arm. "The location will be of your choosing, I will follow." The way she spoke and acted suggested perhaps she had not been assimilated into society well. Sure, she had information at the tips of her fingers and had often read about social norms for each species - but it was apparent that acting them out was not something Forty was best at. Her emotions and her movements were still so stiff, then again, when all ones life is nothing but commands - free will comes at...a disadvantage.
