Dumb Debates.....
I like need other peoples opinions on this, because everyone I know has no idea what I’m talkin about and are only picking because they like the color. So I’m now going to the internet. This is a hypothetical question for a potential fanfic I’ve been skirting around writing....
Between Fellby and Grillby, which would be a better love interest for an oc/reader that has a major fear of fire? So much so that she has panic attacks that she’s stuck in a burning building when she gets to hot or anxious? I know logically a gentle approach would be a better one (Grillby), but on the other hand a more firm and upfront approach to it like Fellby’s would be interesting too. He’d be all up in her face and forcing her to get over it, while Grillby would be too awkward and careful to want to push boundries. At least that’s how I see it.... I can’t decide whose better....... Oh and it’s with the Undertale version of all the other characters. Like Sans is still in blue. So Fellby would be with a bunch of goodie goodies, and Grillby with like the #deathtoallhumans squad.
If anyone needs more context to that let me know.... sorry.
I just want to see other peoples opinions on this, or see what’s the preferred option....
Mortal Kombat: Into The Soul Part 1 Ermac x reader/oc
Disclaimer: I dont own Mortal Kombat, also this is super short and not so much a.... I guess fluff. It's more inspirational to the character, that's why it's a 2 part. Second one will be the fluff. Also, this is a spin off to a story I used to write. Reader or OC is from our dimension.
Despite always finding comfort in her surroundings, in the people she lived with, she couldn't stop her minds wandering. It was the usual or absent ramblings of someone childish or odd. No, it was the deeper kind or wandering, the one that dipped into ones soul and questioning of current standings or existence. She came her under pretenses that she still couldn't make sense of, with no idea to who she was. All she made sense of was the Krypt, the multiple voices, and her future knowledge that would be of no use because of butterfly effects. She had basic understandings of those around her, some more then others, deep respect for those misunderstood because of goals that were unspoken. Her dark history that slowly came to light and her passive heart to contrasting to blend evenly. There were only two that she trusted beyond basic companionship, or love; they were the family despite differences and goals. A deep respect for one another and for their own paths. She just couldn't understand their devotion to her, both men having dropped so much for her. She was a ticking resolution to the end game, but with plans that couldn't cone to fruition until late, but still the supported her. It was... enlightening to say the least, a deep emotion filling her at the thought of what they have done for her.
Much to her surprise when she found herself seated along the floor again, opening her eyes, she found she wasn't alone. Standing not far from her, propped against her doorway was a man, his eyes a bright illuminating neon green, body covered in bandages. He was dressed in newer apparel, with some bits of his face showing. He had a soft look on his face as he continued to openly stare at her.
" Hey.." She greeted softly.
It wasn't uncommon of him to come in to her room and check on her, it was honestly more common if anything. He often came in or would just stand and stare at her, until she either cracks into telling him what's on her mind or just basis in the comfort his presence brings. He often joined her in meditation, mixing their auras so that she could relax a bit. He was always a comfort despite the short time knowing each other.
" We could feel your distress." He told her gently, multiple voices merging, his form not moving any.
" You always do." She mused lightly patting the spot beside her on her got.
Easily he got off the post for her doorway, floating over to her bed. The neon green whips of the souls that made up his being floating casually around him. With ease he settled himself a bit over the bed, hovering just slightly.
" What is bothering you?" He questioned her eyes not meeting hers just yet, "Usually it is clear what help you need, but we are unable to feel what exactly is bothering."
She paused for a moment eyebrows furrowed at his statement, despite understanding. Ermac had a startlingly amazing sixth sense when it came to figuring out what exactly was bothering her. Much to both their dismay, she didn't know herself either. It was one of those deep questions that just couldn't be answered by someone else.
" It's..... it's not really something I can explain." She murmured softly looking away, " One if those inner soul questioning things."
She had said it like a joke in hopes of steering away his clear concern, almost feeling guilty for how much she's leaned on him sense she arrived. This was a common occurrence with him checking to make sure she was okay, help her process her thoughts despite everything or all the time he needs to keep hold of his souls. His body was still unstable, but he managed.
His bright eyes turned to her with a sort of understanding, it was something he often questioned about himself as well. What with being one of many souls trapped within a single body. Each one always fighting for dominance, what made up him always on top.
Letting out a sigh she continued rambling, " I just... I feel like... My being here is somewhat pointless."
There were so many things that seemed to kick at her, her memory was all future related. She could change so much, and in the same token she didn't want to risk a future she couldn't predict. She barely even noticed the man beside her shifting to face her, his hands gently grabbing her head. Causing her to stop her rambling that had drifted to pointless guilt, her eyes snapping to his, getting lost in the sea of neon green.
" We see a woman, young, beautiful, strong. Always facing the future, trying to save even those lost or gone..." He paused his voice almost ringing in her ears, " While all true, this is not what you want or need to hear."
He found himself peering deep into her radiant soul, the raw love and devotion within quelling the storm raging inside. Her very being was enough to silence most with a small glance, others submitting to her peaceful aura. His skin rejuvenated with expelling magic that seemed to roll off her in waves, filling the holes that naturally wouldn't heal. Connecting the two he allowed her to feel him, feel the calming storm turning to a meadow, feel the relief crawling along his tightly bandaged skin. He could hear a soft sigh escaping her lips as she sagged a bit in his hold.
Nearly immediately all she could see was that neon green, each of the souls dwelling within, see the tethers and bindings that bound them to Ermac. Watching as a wave of content eases the aching souls, filling her own with a sense of clarity. Her own frustrations melted in the soul opening bond the two temporarily shared with Ermac' s link. The doubts in her mind crumbled with a sense of confidence, the questions no longer playing her when she felt all she'd given Ermac. While she had not been aware, she knew of his unstable state, and seeing it even just briefly a façade of peace was something in itself.
breaking the link he pulled away from her, feeling lighter himself, more sure of the young woman before him. More faith in what he and his companion were promised from the Elders. He could feel her power, feel her resolve, her compassion. His loyalty was set in stone.
" Thank you." She managed out almost voiceless.
He didn't say anything, simply return to facing away and began to meditate. Mind finally clear enough to think properly, feeling more alive then he had in weeks. Casting a shy glance in his direction she shifted and allowed herself to mimic him. It was always odd how he managed to calm her, but she valued it in moments like thoughts. With a small smile she opened her mind to herself and dug into her information, absorbing every little detail she could. Swearing she would give everyone the ending they deserve.
Transformers Starscream x reader/oc
Disclaimer: I don't own anything transformers.
Things weren't always so... laid back for him; it was always one thing or another. Whether it be from Megatron antagonizing him or coming up with some ridiculous plan, or fighting with the Autobots. Those inferior pit spawned creations, always ruining everything. Well, not everything. There was one thing they'd done good with. Skye. Her name was ironic in the fact that he and is Trine all had names related to the sky, hers seeming to match perfectly with theirs. That was a small thing he'd thought about when he'd first gotten to know her. The second was how charming she was to be around, even when fighting. They may have been separate factions, but she was truly a sight to behold. All optics seemed to snap to her when she took control, and had Optimus Prime not been their leader, she would of been the one to lead. He didn't have to be a part of their ranks to understand or see how well respected she was amung the Autobots. Even Megatron and most of the Decepticons could admit that she was a figure to admire and respect. Megatron having tried multiple times to get her to join the Decepticon ranks, even worse trying to charm her.
" Knew I'd find you here." A soft familiar voice called out to him, snapping him from his thoughts.
He snapped around to see the very femme that had clouded his mind to begin with. Unlike his usual cruel and conniving smile, a warm and soft one filled his faceplates.
" Certainly took you long enough." He teased with a bit of a mischievous look in his optics.
" Oh hush, you knew I had a lot to do today. Something to do with Decepticon inactivity." She responded with an almost questioning tone in her voice, curious to see if he would tell her Megatron's ' brilliant' plan.
" I should take priority, over your patrols." Starscream rilled his eyes as she walked up to stand beside his seated frame.
" You'll have to ask nicer, if you want me here earlier." She shook her helm lightly as she sat down beside him on the rocky ledge, letting her pedes dangle beside his own.
" Don't test your luck femme, I might just keep you here." He sent her a somewhat evil glint, wicked smile stretching across his faceplates.
While he looked serious, he was joking. He may be forceful in trying to take what he wants, but because of his respect for the femme, he would never force himself on her. That was a line no seeker would cross, morals and coding too high to step on. Not only that, but he cared for her more than he let on.
" You wouldn't." She glared lightly knowing he was lying.
His smile changed back to that charming one he always gave to her, brow ridges relaxing and smoothing out. She loved that she was one of the few that he shared it with, her and his Trine were the only ones to see a calm and peaceful StarScream.
In all their time sneaking around together, she'd gotten to know him. Learn more them the conniving mech that always tried to over throw Megatron. Starscream was a scientist, smart, and surprisingly pleasant to be around. At first she'd been iffy, but after he proved himself to her. Saving her from Megatron after a cruel kidnapping and almost forceful torture; It wasn't her friends or the Autobots that saved her. It was Starscream and his Trine. She'd never screamed so loud, spark calling to anybody that would come, desperate.
" Hmm, try me~" He smirked lightly.
Before she could even respond with something witty, he wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her close. She gasped lightly as he yanked her right into his lap, his arms wrapping tightly around her frame and mindful of her wings. The tips of his digits ran over some of her seams ghosting over the sensitive playing as they shifted to rest comfortably around her. One arm wrapped around her shoulders the other staying around his waist, while she settled between his legs. Her aft pressed firmly against his cod piece, spinal struts presses against his chassis. His helm dipped into the crook of her neck, lip components pressing against her most sensitive of cables. A light giggle escaped her vocals, servo shooting up to grab at his helm. A chuckle left him as her blew out a hot vent of air along the sensitive wires while his servos worked to trap hers. A wrist joint in each of his servos, holding her only enough to keep her from moving, but not enough to hurt her. Another round of laughter escaped from her as his glossa slicked over her wires, making her squirm in his arms, servos twisting all around to try and get him off. Finding amusement in her wiggling frame, wide smile stretched across her lip components. He went to take a small nibble, eager to draw out more from her, but she pushed her helm against her shoulder rotaters trying to get him to stop.
" No! Stop~" she pleaded lightly still giggling as he started to move to the other side, "Please~"
" Haha, and why would I do that?" He rumbled amused, " You seem to be enjoying yourself little femme-"
Her servos wrenched themselves free as she yanked them down, her own servos slapping against his thighs. He jumped a bit at the stinging, his own servos grabbing at his legs to rub out the sting. Taking the moment to her advantage she pulled her pedes up from the cliff edge, and turned so that the rested over one of his massive legs. Turning her body so that she could face him better. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could utter a word her servos pressed against his chassis, pushing him down with a surprising amount of force.
She'd definitely taken advantage of the situation, using his surprise to make herself comfortable. Sitting up enough and throwing a leg over his waist, straddling him with her tiny frame. Her weight pressed down against his cod piece, making his plating tighten at the provocative position. His deep red optics stared up at her with a bit of a gleam in his optics, his servos gripping at her hips. Her tiny servos were sprawled out, digits lightly running over a small seam.
" What if this was all a ploy to trap you myself? Have you at MY mercy?" She whispered nearly seductively to him, his spark racing at the suggestive wording.
Very silently, she bent down keeping her optics locked on his own, as she lowered herself on top of him, lip components pressing against his chassis armor. Her lips ran over some of the sensitive seams drawing out a ragged vent, optics fluttering at the sensation of her lips over his chassis. He could feel his core hearing up, but vents escaping his throat. A groan worked it's way put of his vocals, digits nearly digging into her armor.
" Mm, as if you could pin me long enough-" His vocals were soft and he couldn't stop the second groan, her lips pressed against sensitive wires.
Ever so slow she began making her way up his chassis, reaching his jaw as she smothered him in her affection. He was just eating it up too, feeling his cod plating tightening with each feathery touch. Her servos dragging themselves down his chassis and around to reach a part of his wings that was exposed to her. A shaky moan worked it's way from his vocals as she stroked a digit down his wing.
" It won't be too hard." She let out breathily smiling a bit at the sounds she elicited from him.
He attempted to come up with some snarky retort, but all that came out was a groan as her fingers worked over his sensitive wings. His helm dropped back at the intense feelings running up his spine. His plating twitched, wings attempting to move beneath him as he pressed his hips tighter against her own. Her legs tightened around his waist, but she didn't shy away.
" Uh- Keep this up and both of us are going to be here awhile." Starscream breathed out sensationally optics flicking to meet hers, lust buried deep inside of them.
She slowly came to a stop looking down at him, confusion dogging his processor at the look on her faceplates.
" What if that's what I want?" She questioned him in a more serious note, as she sat up taking her hands off of him.
She rested her elbow against his chassis, frame resting against him almost perfectly. While her one servo held up her helm, the other moved to gently stroke the seams to his cockpit. Her whole demeanor changed as she let her helm flop onto her arm, optics watching her own digits.
" Once we finish here, it'll be back to fighting. I may be new to the war, and I know that all of I'll never compare to all of your guys' experience." She slowed her words, knowing that it would most likely annoy StarScream, " I just wish we didn't have to sneak around. Hate that I can't see you whenever I want to."
He knew what she was getting at, the different factions, the fact that Megatron threatened her in such horrible ways, how StarScream could never be an Autobots. Both were loyal to their factions, and while they may avoid each other in battle, she couldn't avoid his Trine. They had to keep up facades, couldn't show affection or favoritism. It was hard on both of them, maybe even harder for her considering she'd given up so much for the Autobots already. Never in his life had he ever thought that he'd fall for a human turned Cybertronian, another of Megatron's fails. That was why he never asked her to join the Decepticons, Megatron had hurt her so much, he'd feared for her safety.
" One day we won't have to." He promised her, thumb digits rolling soft circles on her hips, his optics shifting to the sky, " The war will be over, no more factions."
Gently he brought a servo up to her helm, tilting it up so that he could have easier access to her. He pushed himself up a bit and pressed a soft kiss on her, pulling her closer. By now thier serious conversation had dimmed the lust, and all he wanted to do was comfort her in every way he could. Sadly all he could really offer her was to distract her for the moment, not because he wanted to avoid such conversations with her. But, because he only want their secret meetings to end on good notes, never on anything negative. StarScream could admit to fitting many negative adjectives, but seeing his femme in any kind of distress when he could help her, it set his spark aflame. He hated seeing her down, so even if it was temporary, he would do what he could to make these secret meetings good for her, for as long as he could.
Mortal Kombat Ermac/Reader (OC?) Soul Searching

This one is shorter, only because it didn’t need to be any longer, and honestly is it even really an ErmacxReader? It was supposed to be a lot fluffier, but it turned into a rant from a story I wanted to write, but could never get around to writing.... None the less that story was not an Ermac storyXDD Anyways hope you enjoyed!
Mortal Kombat Reptile/Reader (OC) Oneshot/Fluff
Disclaimer: I don’t own Mortal Kombat or any of it’s characters, just my little one shot OC/Reader. Almost positive I didn’t specify who the Reader was, but if I did my bad. It was meant to be open. This is all fluff, not going to lie...… Not sorry.
All around her the heat seemed to cling unbearably, and briefly she couldn't decide which was worse Outworld or the NetherRealm. There seemed to be no escape from the heat in either, but maybe it was the fact that even with heat resistant clothing she was a walking ball of flames. Underneath her special robes she could feel her skin sticking to the fabrics, or being suffocated from the heat trapped inside. Her hair clung to whatever skin was exposed to it and she found herself walking slower to avoid over exerting herself. She couldn't wait to return to her shared abode, knowing well enough that at least one of her roommates would be there. Specifically the one she had left the house for in the first place, not that he knew that. Panting softly from the long walk, she let a smile grace her face. She spotting the small hidden bungalow easily, despite the few batch or trees and rocks. It was prime location for them and whoever else needed refuge. The dwelling was a simple door and a small home, while the rest of it was dug out below. The main floor was more or less a tiny three bedroom, one bathroom, with a very small kitchen and living room combined. A hidden stair case located in her room, that allowed access to the other levels. It was thanks to Raiden that this place even existed. Rolling her shoulders under her large pack, she grabbed the door handle and pull. Surprisingly it was cool air that came flowing out against her. While they were lucky and didn't have to deal with such intense heat, it was a bit odd. Stepping inside she closed the door behind her, casually reaching up to pull her sand colored hood from her head. Shrugging her large bag from her shoulders, she carefully set it down on the floor beside the door so she could proceed to take off her cloak and gear. Sighing happily as the cool air actually brushed against her skin, once everything was properly off she gathered it all up, slugging the bag back onto her shoulder and made her way to her room to put everything away. Causally dumping the stuff by her dresser she set her bag on top, opening the top. Immediately she was greeted with the sweet and relaxing scents of the incents and oils she'd bought. There were several fabrics at the top along with dishes and jars. The jars were filled with different herbs and some were even empty. Pulling everything out she lined them on her dresser neatly and set her bag in it's usual spot by her bed, turning her attention to putting everything except the oils away. There were several that she'd bought for someone else, oils she'd planned to give her friend before their other companion returned. Grabbing the three specific ones she turned around nearly darting out of her skin at the sudden proximity of the very roommate she was about to look for. Her backside rammed into her dresser, the edge diffing into her lower back, a hand quickly reaching to steady herself, the other fumbling not to drop the vials of oils.
" Wha-" She fumbled on her words trying to collect herself, eyes scanning her reptilian companion.
His eyes were glued to her figure, hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. He was slightly hunched over and leaning closer to her, his skin emitted a coolness to it that seemed to stretch and she found herself wondering if the bungalow was too cold for him.
"You're late." He hummed lowly stepping a bit closer eyes examining her body, making her feel a little uncomfortable.
It wasn't that he bothered her, it was more or less the intensity of his gaze. Out of both companions they were together the most, and while she trusted both indefinitely, Reptile was one of her best friends. She'd brought oils specifically for his scales, granted they were a surprise, but that's besides the point.
" I told you I would be gone for awhile." She told him gently relaxing against the dresser, enough so that she could set the several vials of oils down in it's surface, " The market was more packed then usual, and it's disgustingly hot today."
He didn't say anything for a moment taking in her heated appearance, her skin looked glossy from her long trip, hair slightly oily. None the less she didn't look bad, and the heat that clung to her was more then inviting.
" What did you get?" He managed to get out fighting the shiver that ran up his skin from the temperatures inside the bungalow.
" Several oils, cloths, dishes, herbs..." She trailed off quietly watching as his eyes roamed over her body once more, it left an odd feeling, " Are you okay?"
He was acting rather odd, from his body movements to the look in his eyes. A soft hiss escaped from him, but he didn't reply. His brows furrowed a bit and his lips pulled into back slightly. Like he was annoyed or didn't know how to say what he was thinking. His golden eyes met hers before he let out a long sigh, that sounded like a hiss more then anything.
" It is too... cold inside, and too dry outside for me.." With each word he inched closer, head dipping into the crook of her neck cool face pressing against her heated skin, " You're body heat is tempting."
Unable to stop himself he wrapped his cold figure around her, pulling her in to him a soft gasp escaping her. What little skin that was exposed causing shivers to roll down her spine. He felt like an ice cube, and she knew then that her suspicions had been right. Gently she wrapped her arms around him, her face pressing into his exposed neck.
" I got you some oils." She told him gently feeling his arms moving against her back, they trailed over her hips.
Carefully she pulled back a bit, only for him to step even closer, pushing her body further against the dresser. His hands moving to grab right under her butt, gripping at her thighs and pulling. Another gasp escaped from her as she was hoisted up onto the dresser, her legs automatically wrapping around her friend. The oils behind her falling and rolling away from her. Reptile easily pressing his body against her own with a content hiss. Looking up into his eyes she could see how dilated they were, showing just how little control he had in that moment. Wordlessly he burrowed his face into the side of her neck, doing his best to absorb the heat that radiated throughout her body. With a sigh she leaned into him, her hands mindlessly rubbing against the thin fabric of his yukata. She could feel his muscles shifting under her skin, feel his scales through the thin fabrics. Despite the heat he was absorbing from her though, it was nothing compared to the heat of her skin. Never before had he felt so needy for heat, usually it was rather easy to keep control of his body heat, control of himself around her. She was always the perfect temperature, which made it hard to avoid her, then again the bungalow was usually never this cold. As gently as he could he completely picked her up supporting all of her weight so that he could carry her to her cot. She squirmed a bit against him at the change in positions, especially when his hands worked their way into her clothing so he could feel more of her skin. For a moment he questioned himself wondering when he succumb to such.... he almost thought it was a rut, but it wasn't that time of the year. No he just craved her attention, her skin, and not lustfully.
" Stop- !!" A shout escaped her as he tossed her on her got, easily removing his haori, " What the hell, Syzoth!?"
He didn't say anything other then a small hiss, allowing himself to ease down on top of her, despite her trying to get up. A hidden smile creeping onto his face at the sound of his name, content at the sound of it on her tongue. He easily capturing her body, caged it with his own, hand easily tugging apart her robes to reveal her wrapped chest. His mind was a fog in his need for warmth, skin relishing in the smooth texture of the woman beneath him. Her arms struggled to cover her exposed skin, his clawed hands easily catching hers and forcing them out of his way. Dropping himself further, pressing their bodies together, hissing comfortingly at the feeling of her hot skin against his own cool skin. Both of their breathing was heavy, but both easily fell into a comfortable position. Her mouth opened and closed with voiceless words, trying to say anything really. She'd never seen Reptile act like this and it was startling, and embarrassing. He literally ripped her robes off of her without even the slightest bit of hesitation. It struck a horrible thought in the back of her head, forcing her to remind herself that it was Reptile and not a stranger forcing himself on her. Her skin crawled at the feeling of his icy hands slipping up her sides and under her back, goosebumps assaulting her flesh. All of his skin was nearly as cold as Sub-Zero's. And even with it settling on her heated skin and helping to cool her off, it wasn't making the situation any better. Silence was all that ensues between the two of them, Reptile nearly slipping into a comfortable slumber, face comfortably pressed into the woman's soft pillow like wrapped breasts. Meanwhile the woman just laid there and tried to get comfortable, hoping her other roommate would not come home and find them in such a compromising position. Not that she would really care all that much, it was awkward to say the least. Sighing she wrapped her arms around him, shifting her legs beneath him so that she could curl around him the best she could. He hissed lightly shifting over her to allow the movements, golden eyes remaining shut, tongue slithering out a bit to lick the exposed skin of her neck. Shivers crawled up her spine at the gentle treatment, but she remain quiet glancing over to the oils debating whether or not to use her magic to pull them over to her. With another glance to the scaled man over her, she lifted a hand blue magic engulfing it and a random bottle. With a mindless twitch of her fingers the bottle flew from the dresser towards her, slapping into her palm like a magnet. Syzoth seemed oblivious to the movements as she carefully uncapped the top and poured a small bit into her hands before capping the bottle and gently rested her hands over his scaly shoulders. He flinched a bit at the new feeling, before her fingers started digging into his muscles. Her fingers moved quick to work the oil into his dried scales, hydrating them while coating his body in a pleasant flowery scent. His arms wrapped around her tighter a small groan working it's way out of his throat as she rubbed his shoulders and what she could reach of his spine, adding more oil when she needed it. Gradually her fingers worked over what they could, smoothing over bits of his arms and sides, Syzoth a pile of mush under her fingers. Slipping into a comfortable sleep he rubbed himself against her while she took the opportunity to get even more comfortable. Seeing as she wasn't going anywhere any time soon she allowed herself to wrap her arms around his shoulders and head, closing her eyes.

There was actually more to this, but I decided not to add it because one it wasn’t finished and two it was going to lead to the NSFW category... so yeah... Anyways um.... the whole thing with the skin on skin contact, because he’s reptile I would imagine that she would be like a heating source for him, so he wanted to have direct contact, not muted contact with a barrier....:D Enjoy!
Nightmares Tucker x Reader/OC
Disclaimer: I don’t own Red Vs Blue, and I don’t own any of the characters except the OC, or I guess the reader? This was supposed to be a piece of a story I wrote a long time ago for RvB that I never posted or actually got around to finishing, but I was able to leave it open enough to however the reader wants to view the main character. So yeah, it’s open to interpretation. There is hints of Agent Maine/Meta x OC/Reader, but it’s not a focus? This is also a rewrite of itself that was written back in 2016 which was in first person and suckedXDD
Some nights were harder then others, even though she'd moved on. It was always a painful reminder that what could of been and what she used to look forward to, would never be again. Such was battle though, war. Though, now looking back on it, maybe it wasn't so much of a war, but a wrong side mission that she fell right into the hands of the wrong side. Despite all of that, she was content with where she stood now. Able to finally put the past behind her and move on, at least put most of it behind her...
" What are you doing up?"
She hadn't meant to jump as much as she did, and had it been a better night she might not of. Quickly calming herself down she twisted enough to meet the sight of Tucker, standing not too far from her, walking up to her slowly. Briefly she wondered how he noticed her leave their shared bedroom, but then remembered he had impeccable hearing. He stopped right at the back of the couch, turning so he could sit on the edge. She must have taken too long to respond, because in the time it took for her to open her mouth, he was already climbing over and moving to sit beside her talking once more.
" You okay?" He asked surprisingly gently as he got right up beside her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders to pull her close, " You got this sad look in your eyes."
His comment was followed with a sweet kiss to her temple, while she relaxed her body against his own.
" Yeah, just nightmares." She shrugged the best she could with how he was holding her
" About the Meta?" He asked curiously, " You know you could of woken me up."
Yeah she did, but she'd been having a lot more of them recently. It was like her brain had a mind of it's own and was tormenting her with memories she thought she could put behind her.
" Don't you mean Agent Maine?" She redirected the conversation, not knowing how to respond to the last bit.
Conversation had never been her strong point.
" Maine, Meta, all the same person." He shrugged with a roll of his eyes, not very fond of the even the thought of said agent, not after learning of his relationship with his girlfriend.
He knew it was selfish, being jealous over a dead man, but when she'd finally opened up more about her personal life outside of UNSC.... It was had not to get jealous, they had their whole life planned together, just for the Director to fuck everything up. RIP that life away from them and rip them apart. Then again, it was partly Maine's fault too, he caved into the will of the AIs. Quickly reeling himself back in from his train of thought he focused on the woman beside him. He knew he could never replace or make her forget Maine, but he could fill in that hurt with his love. He almost laughed at how cheesy he sounded. Gently he pulled both of them so that they could lean back in the couch together, lay there comfortably. Carefully she settled down on top of him, one of his legs up between hers, while her arms encompassed him, head resting on his chest ear down. A sweet sigh escaped from her at both his warmth and the comfort his being there brought, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear. She tried to match her breaths with his, while she relaxed into his arms, both of them sinking into the old, yet comfortable cushions of the couch. His arms encompassed her a leg draping itself over the one that rested between his own. She felt more comforted then when she'd snuck out of bed in search of some peace.
" I'm sorry it still bothers me." She whispered softly.
" There's nothing to apologize for." He shook his head softly mentally scoffing.
For as jealous as he hated being, he never faulted her for that. Hell if she could over look his endless flirting, he could over look her temporary lapses in thought. If he had met her first and it had been him and her, he would never be able to look at another woman the same. She was stronger then him by every meaning of the word, he doesn’t think he'd be able to over look it and move on like she's trying to do. Unable to stop himself he tightened his arms around her dragging her up closer to him, her head lifting to shoot him a confused look. Only for him to sweep it away with a slow and heavy kiss. It stole her thoughts from her and replaced everything she'd been feeling and thinking of with him, allowing herself to get lost in the emotion he was bleeding through to her with just his kiss alone. It was somewhat rough, gentle and demanding, slow and sensational. Pulling themselves apart to breath, she settled back down on him. He struggled to speak despite always running his mouth, somewhat at a loss for what to say to her. His loins were aching for her, but he knew now was not the time for that.
" Was it scary?" He finally found himself saying, words barely a whisper as they tried to dip back down into their previous conversation, back into why she was out here and not in his arms in bed.
" Was what scary?" She questioned confused shifting so that she could look up at him, eyebrows furrowed.
" The nightmares-" His words slowly rose in volume as he had to think about her answer for a moment, voice loud as he continued, " Wait- wait, aren't nightmares supposed to be scary?"
What a dumb question he thought to himself, but none the less her response had confused him. Cheeks dusting pink as he felt her body tremble with how much she was trying to stay quiet despite the laughs slowly working their way out of her. Soon enough she couldn't keep it in and the laughter escaped, filling the room. He felt like an idiot…..
" Stop laughing at me!" He grumbled to her glaring down at her, despite the smile that soon worked it's way onto his face at the sight of her smile.
He was such an idiot… One of her hands quickly shot to his mouth to stop his voice from being too loud, gently clasping over his lips. Having to suck in her lip to help calm herself down from her amusement, hoping that they didn't wake anybody up.
" Shhhh." She whispered almost gently smiling, removing her hand just to press a gentle kiss to the corner of his mouth, I'm sorry, it's just- You've never had a nightmare that wasn't scary?"
As soon as she moved back his lips were already moving, eyes staring directly into hers.
" No, hense why it's called a nightmare." He shook his head at her.
" Not all nightmares are scary." She told him almost bluntly.
" Tch- as if. You've been out here for the better part of two hours so that you don't have to dream about it." He pointed out to her, unable to stop himself from rolling his eyes softly at her, " Clearly it scared you."
" Scared isn't the term I would use." She told him.
" Then what would you call it?" He asked her.
" Hurt." She responded, " Maine never scared me, because even in his death with everything he'd done to hunt me down as the Meta, Maine was still in there…"
She turned quiet for a moment.
" I never brought it up, but when we went over that cliff…. He saved me from the same death he had, through me up on the ledge and apologized…. Told me to live." She paused again trying to think of the right words, " My 'nightmares' are often filled with talks of Maine, not the Meta."
He suddenly felt like an ass, especially with the vulnerable look on her face. She never spoke about Maine or the Meta after he died, and he'd assumed it was because she was mad at him, not because of the pain at not having him. He'd always assumed that because of Maine turning to the Meta, that she'd hated him for betraying her and that her nightmares were filled with him hunting her down, harming her in torturous ways. But that vague explanation spoke a lot, and made him feel guilty for making her talk about it.
" Oh." He commented unsure of what to say.
He knew nightmares weren't all scary, he just didn't realize that her's weren't. Unsure of how to continue after her admittance, he once more pulled her up so he could kiss her. Drowning her in him in hopes to make her either move on from the conversation or forget about it. Think of nothing, but the moment shared between them. A gentle sigh escaping from her as they pulled apart long enough to breath, just for him to smother her in his lips once again.
" I'm sorry." He apologized as they pulled apart once more, " For bringing it up."
" It's fine, better to talk right?" She asked.
" Hmmm, I could think of a few things better." He replied teasingly.
" Bow chicka bow wow~" She teased right back, moving to straddle him.
" Oh hell yeah!"
" SHUT UP! SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!" The familiar voice of Church's AI shouted through the living room intercom, causing both of them to start laughing loudly, " Stop laughing you fucks!"
Neither stopped for a good moment, Tucker finally sitting up so that he could press their chests together, his lips centimeters from her own. Her hands came up to rest on his neck, thumbs tracing circles into his skin.
" I love you." He murmured out with an amused smile lingering on his lips, before he pressed them against her own.
She responded in kind kissing just as sweetly.
" I swear to god if you two have sex on the couch…" Church's voice trailed off…
Both of them breaking apart to laugh again, giving each other mischivioius looks. Tucker unable to help himself, neither really caring if Church caught them. Wasn't like the AI hasn't seen them before…..
