Okay, so as much as I'm in tears, here's some good things that have come out of this chapter
Based on Jersey numbers, Yamaguchi was third year captain! I'm proud. And Kags was vice which is cool. Though I wish we got to see it all.
Also, they got to play on centre court!
The first years (I'm gonna call them that till the end of time, okay? I don't care they're no longer that) are still likely at least in casual contact after 5 years. We know Yachi, Tsukki, and Yamaguchi all went to Uni, and Yachi at the very least has Hinata's social media.
This confirms my baby a) reads manga, and b) can actually speak Portuguese now, even if not perfectly
By his third year, Hinata had a damn solid receive! A perfect one! I'm proud again
Hinata and Kageyama promised to see each other again with a smile.
Shiratorizawa's coach believes so hard in Hinata!
Shouyou has stopped chasing after Kageyama and is following his own ideals. He's completely changed his path to something similar but different that he loves. Beach volleyball will do him well.
As scared as I am and sad that this is going to be the end, it's still another arc. Likely around 6 months to a year. We have more to come and while I dread that we won't be seeing characters like any of the third years again, or Kenma, or even the other Karasuno first or second years aside from Hinata and Kags, the writing is still beautiful and full of love.
I said this before, and I'll say it again. I trust Furudate with all my heart and soul and this may be the final arc, but it will be an amazing one like the entire rest of the story was.
EDIT: So...it was pointed out that I missed off Kageyama being in the Olympics as a teenager. The short answer as to why I left that off is I'm an idiot. The slightly longer answer is I'm a massive idiot who literally forgot that part of the chapter.
