Bottom: Ella Wesner, likewise was also a highly influential drag king from New York during the same time as Tilley. Wesner was known for her scandalous female love affairs. She also requested to be buried in her male clothing upon her death.

Hey, I love love love your drag. I want to be a drag king as well. Would you mind telling me how you got started?

I started just messing around with what little make up I had, when you find what look works on you build on it and get creative, the more you get into it the more you update your makeup I was never one for makeup as as a kid so I only ever use it for drag- preforming wise... I just began asking around, my main event is unpaid though so I am looking for a paid gig- I did my first performance and nailed it so I was asked back. You gotta throw yourself into it full throttle, stay versatile, always remember where you've come from,always keep practicing the more you do the better you look and give it all you've got. And you can make something of yourself, I now host the verity night I started at. ❤️❤️ all my love to you on you King journey and as the queen Ru would say"Good luck and don't fuck it up" 😉
