“Lucy!” Her response is equally matched, with a smile she reserves for only a few. “You look fabulous yourself. You shine at these sorts of things, quite literally, in this case.” For a moment longer, she admires her friend’s gown, before switching to the subject of her own outfit. “It is. I thought a party like this would be perfect for showing off a little taste of what’s to come in the New Year,”

“Oh, dear that’s much too kind. I just love these shindigs - they make quite a nice excuse to show off some of my favorites pieces - though again I don’t need an excuse.” Lucy chuckled softly, “And you all the same, though this is indeed perfect for doing just that, yes.” with a nod she admired her friend’s attire once more. “I have to say, I do quite like it, I can’t wait to see what else you have to show this season. I can say myself and my daughters are looking forward to your new collection.”

“Of course I am, mother. A gorgeous dress and plenty of boys to go around. What’s not to enjoy?”

Lucy grinned as her daughter went on, of course she was having a wonderful time. “That’s grand to hear, darling. This is quite the party I have to say.”

“You know sometimes I do quite enjoy a moment alone at these functions. But now that you’re here I’d say things are much better. Are you having a good time?”

“Cruella, darling!” Lucy greeted her friend with a warm smile and a raise of her glass as if to cheers at the sight of her. “My, don’t you look absolutely stunning as always, is this from your new collection?” She asked in regards to the stole around her shoulders. She always did have an impeccable eye for fashion. | @evilthiing

Maria’s used to people buying her drinks. She’s stunning and she knows it. That combination of good looks and confidence has a tendency to draw people to her, which has a tendency to lead to free beverages on nights out. Now, usually the people paying for her good time are college boys trying to get something out of her, not women who are easily old enough to be her mother. But it’s hard to deny the woman is beautiful, and really who is Maria to turn down a free drink. “Um, the same, I guess? If that’s alright?” She’s so unsure of herself in that moment, but making sure to wear the same look - one that suggests she is sure of herself - she always wears. “Thank you.” Maria moves a seat over, to better talk to the woman buying her drink.  

Lucy couldn’t help but smile a little wider, not so obviously, it was a subtle growth of her smile but she was comforted by the woman agreeing to the drink. Truly Lucy just didn’t want to drink alone. This woman looked young, her daughters age perhaps, but Lucy didn’t mind. She seemed to be good company, she could hope she was. And she agreed to a Manhattan cocktail so really Lucy couldn’t judge her too harshly. She had good taste at least. “Two Manhattan’s then.” she told the bartender before turning over to look at the woman. “I truly hope you don’t mind, I’m not trying to be weird. I’m just a woman looking for a drinking companion after a long day. I’m Lucy,” she introduced herself, offering her hand. Perhaps she knew who she was, but a part of Lucy was hoping she didn’t. Fans were lovely to meet but sometimes it was nice to meet someone who wasn’t quite so eager to know every detail of her life. “And might I say, you’re stunning.”

Leo was walking through the market checking in on different booths and socializing.  Mostly to be polite and keep a good positive image, he didn’t really care to talk to most of these people, probably couldn’t tell you their name if he was asked.  “Oh, Lady Tremaine, how wonderful to see you again.”  He greeted her smiling.  “Busy but who isn’t this time of year?  Thank you, we try very hard to make the city look festive especially after how unfortunate the last city event went.  I hope you’re having a good time.  Are you here with any of your children?”

The last city event, of course Lucy could recall it well. She had taken the road less traveled following that event and took to her home, choosing not to get caught up in the chaos after her children were taken from her, kidnapped and she was forced to scramble to save them. Since then she had been keeping a low profile - as most of the Tremaines had been doing. It seemed to be a family coping mechanism, keeping it quiet after a fiasco. Of course some of Lucy’s friends had told her what good publicity it would be, doting around her kidnapped children, but to Lucy that was classless. The woman couldn’t draw attention to it, not at all. But she smiled as she kept her gaze on Leo. “It’s wonderful to see you too, and yes, busy seems to be a reoccuring theme this time of year.” she nodded, “I am having a lovely time, I did come with my daughters but they’ve escaped somewhere, off looking at a few gifts - perhaps for myself because they were being rather secretive. Some things will never change. Are you here alone?”

“I can imagine. Watching your kids grow up – It must be quite weird,” Hades laughed lightly, shaking his head. “Oh I just wondered, t’is all. Nothing specific. I just thought it’d be nice to see how many people we both knew,” He shrugged a shoulder, giving a nod of thanks to the bartender. “I’m surprised it’s the fact that your son is spending time with someone that you have an issue with. A woman of your prestige – I’m surprised you’re perfectly fine with your son dating someone who has such an unconventional career.”

“It is a bit of a strange feeling, yes.” Lucy loved watching her kids grow up, though. It was always a bit of an adventure, never a dull moment. “I see.” Lucy nodded, bringing her drink to her lips for a sip. “Well, it is Lucifer’s life after all, I don’t want to control it, who he sees, who he spends his time with. If I did control it he’d be miserable, he’d resent me. You know truly the last thing I want is my children resenting me. So I let them do things that make them happy and if things crash and burn then they crash and burn.. And mommy dearest is here to pick up the pieces.”

@lionmayor The hot chocolate was just what Lucy needed to warm herself up as she strolled through the market, hot chocolate with a little peppermint schnapps of course, it was practically a Christmas tradition that the woman stroll the streets after a few of those concoctions and the markets just made everything better. There was something serene about strolling down the market after dark, lights twinkling all around her, people still mingling with vendors here and there, and there was the occasional greeting towards the woman which she didn’t often mind, especially throughout the holidays. Lucy was happy to greet a fan every now and then. A huge smile spread across her lips as she spotted the mayor ahead of her - it had been quite some time since the two had run into each other, ages it seemed. Lucy was more than happy to greet him with a smile. “Mayor Lionheart, darling.” she said, leaning in to press a greeting kiss against his cheek. “How’ve you been? The city certainly looks beautiful for the Christmas holiday, I must say your people have done a splendid job.”

@garciaaas Lucy laughed softly as she leaned her elbows against the bar, chatting with the bartender. She had just left a dinner party with a few old friends of hers and while it was a very nice time, she was looking for a bit more fun now to further occupy her time. There was no interest in her to head back home, no, she was out on the prowl, perhaps even on a mission to stir up a little trouble - or to at least get herself into a fun situation. She had spent far too much time at home and not enough time out for herself. It was time for a change. “Oh, I’ll have a Grey Goose martini, please.” she added, but it wasn’t before her eyes drifted to the woman who had seated herself at the bar next to her. Lucy gave her a smile, “And whatever this young woman will be having this evening, on me - that is,” she turned, opening her shoulders to the young woman as she didn’t want her to feel pressured. “If that’s alright with you, of course.”

While his body faced towards Lucy, Hades watched out of the corner of his eyes as the bartender made their drinks. It was habit to judge other’s bartending skills. “I’m just repeating Lucifer’s words,” He flashed a small smile. His attention was immediately drawn back to the blonde. “I manage a bar. It’s very interesting work. It’s how I know your son actually - And how your son met his girlfriend. I’m sure he’s told you about Eloise?”

Lucy couldn’t help but notice the careful eye he had on the bar and once he revealed his work the dots connected. “Oh my, well it is indeed a lovely spot - one of my favorites in the city, actually.” Lucy wasn’t even fronting as she shifted on the bar stool. “And yes,” she nodded, “Eloise. She’s a sweet young lady, I do have to admit it’s taken me a bit to settle down with the idea of my son spending so much time with a companion aside from myself, but I like her enough. Ah, I can’t help but wonder why you’re bringing her up. I hope it’s all good things.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Lucy. I’ve heard a lot about your. Lucifer really loves his mother – And I can see why,” Hades said, smile tugging at the corners. “Oh how kind of you,” He hung his head a moment, shuffling on to the seat a little more. Hades propped his elbow up on the bar as his eyes scanned for a member of staff. “I think it’ll just be whiskey on the rocks for me this evening. A good standard go-to I feel – And I’ve got another meeting in an hour or so. It’d be unprofessional of me to turn up intoxicated, I’m sure you can understand.”

“Ah - yes, he is my baby boy.” Lucy knew good and well if Lucifer were present to hear this conversation he’d be as red as blood in the face at the sound of Lucy calling him her baby boy. Upon hearing his drink Lucy ordered that for him and another martini for herself. Her eyes shifted back to Hades as she finished and the bartender busied himself as he prepared their drinks. “You’re so sweet and of course, I understand, but one drink will do you good. Your work - what is it that you do?” she asked. Of course it was no secret what Lucy was into, some days she felt as if the whole world knew.

If Hades was anything, it was dastardly. Despite Eloise’s best efforts to keep Lucifer’s name clean, Hades still wanted some sort of insurance. Lucifer also somewhat an employee of Hades so he knew enough about the kid to know who to speak to. It didn’t take much research to find out where his mother might hang around. 

“Hi there,” Hades grinned as he sat down next to the blonde woman at the bar. “My name’s Hades. I’m a friend of your sons. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Next he offered out his hand. | @ladylucytremaine

Lucy was just looking for a quiet evening at the bar, away from her children and the hustle and bustle of the holiday version of the city. Of course attention was something Lucy was more than equipped to handle, but she did appreciate her down time. When she noticed a man seated next to her at the bar she looked over and gave a smile in return. 

“A friend of my son’s?” she repeated back as more of a question than anything but kept the smile. He seemed a bit older - not too much older than Lucifer but two to three years, not that Lucifer didn’t have older friends. Lucy was just more observant than usual. “Well, it’s lovely to meet you, Hades. Please, call me Lucy. What’re you drinking tonight? It’s on me.”
