Joey spent some days in Barcelona due to family affairs and now wants to tell Brian everything getting a bit carried away, because, yeah, when she starts talking... nothing can stop her

And yes, I sometimes draw comics

One of my most angsty drawings from those two.

Last year, when we were RPing Brian disappeared for a long long time, without a note, without warning, he just turned into thin air. Joey tried to stay strong but every passing week, month, she really believed that she was never going to see him again... and saying goodbye to him like that was the most difficult thing to do...

There’s a bit of lore behind that.

Brian tends to disappear from time to time leaving Joey behind. He usually in a way or another he let her know where he is and when he is planning to come back, but this time was different,  it was like he disappeared, turned into thin air. Joey didn’t know where he was and month passed and her fears start to become a reality. 

Brian is nowhere, doesn’t seem like he is coming back and she is expecting his child. Completely lost and after searching for any clue of Brian’s whereabouts everywhere she goes back to her sister.

She has the baby on her own, calls her Alba, which means dawn in Catalan. (Joey is half Catalan) 

A few weeks later she receives a letter from Brian with explanations on his disappearance and asking for forgiveness. He is coming back to her.

Sometimes she thinks how lucky she is to have him, remembering how the first time she realised how she was feeling about him she wanted to suppress those feelings knowing that a man like Brian wouldn’t look her way...

How it started

Joey and Brian's first meeting didn't start on the right foot. She sneaked into Brian and Sam’s camp while running away from lawmen.

Not wanting Joey to tell on them, Brian takes her with them a bit against her wishes.

Because of her looks, short hair, wearing men's clothing, and her name, Joey (short for Josephine) was easily mistaken for a boy. Still, the moment McPherson takes her on his shoulder he knew the truth about her, feeling a bit bad about having to take her against her will.
