1st Episode: Frank’s Return
blair-fisher:
Frank’s was to be avoided like the plague in Blair’s book, thank you very much. But, when the choice was between cheap and not awful lasagna (and the possibility of a beer if the bartender on duty was super distracted) and her sister’s cooking once again for dinner, Blair was going for Frank’s. Thank god for having a free period at the end of the day. It made it so much easier to get to Frank’s before the rush (if Frank’s could even have a rush) arrived.
A guy that Blair vaguely recognized from science class pressed up next to her, and she sighed. “No. Not now, Timothy.” That couldn’t be his name, but she was so not in the mood.
There was a downside to Frank’s, besides the fact that it was Frank’s, was the fact that it took forever for food to be ready. Ignoring the guy (god he wasn’t even cute; did this town just hate Blair or something?), she pulled a notebook out of her backpack, determined to get a little bit of work done if she was going to be stuck here. Math or history? Math, thanks.
Head bent over the equations, she felt herself fall into a rare sense of satisfaction. It didn’t last long, thanks to the clamor surrounding her. With a sigh, she put the numbers aside, looking up with a frown.
Wait. She knew the woman standing on the bar. She was one of Del’s co-workers. Blair was almost positive of that. But why would an FBI agent be caught dead in Frank’s? And… “Did you say free beer? Because I’m not going to say no to that. Are you carding?”
Without a quick smile, Frankie raced in front of Blair, putting her arms on the table. “I said drinks on me, and we’re gonna have to go a little bit more hardcore than that, don’t you think?” Her hand reached over to put hers over the girl’s. “You’re D’s sister, right?” She spoke as if they were long time friends, but in reality any agent was a target at this point. Everything in her felt betrayal and a time to riot. They’ve all controlled her for far too long. “I’ll make sure to take special care of you.”
This girl was a bit oblivious. Frankie liked that.
