“Cheat?” Sabina echoed as Victoria stood, faux-astonishment manifesting in her features and a hand delicately placed over her heart. “That isn’t the word I’d use at all.” There was nothing wrong in offering a little assistance in something so silly as a game, surely. Sabina just liked to see the faces of the unsuspecting victors light up. “It’s been quite exciting for me, too,” Sabina offered, linking their arms together as they set off through the tightly-packed square. “I cannot believe how many people have come, and come from so far! I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if there were others from Delphie here today.”
Victoria knew that cheat was not a word that was even in Sabina’s vocabulary but her faux dramatics made her laugh nonetheless and she looped her arm through the others girl’s as they began to walk. “Well it is quite the event, it draws people in. I can’t remember the last time that we had one like it,” she said and it was true. A public event where Silvers and Reds freely mingled? It was almost unheard of. “We’re likely not to get one again anytime soon.”
