Picture this, it’s 1920. Ur mourning the death of ur long time Spanish lover, u go to the bar that doubles as jazz club. And u see... HER. She’s six foot in heels and hot as fuck. U go home and can’t get her out of ur head. So u go back next weekend. And the next and next. And then one night. U go, buy a drink and sit down at the same spot at the bar. And the LADY starts to sing the very thought of you (this is an alternate world where that song was made in the 20s not the 30s) and ur heart nearly explodes. But nooooo u think. She’s definitely straight, u think. There’s no way this lady could ever be interested in me. But then. She winks at u. And u spit out ur drink like that chick violet from the incredibles. Ur so embarrassed. But after the songs over she approaches u and asks if u want to go do stuff people did in the 20s (like gamble or go to brothels). And u start going out more. And years pass. And then it’s been 80 years. And in this alternate universe gay people could get married from the jump (and it wasn’t illegal). U grow old and grey and dance to The very Thought of You, even when she can no longer carry a tune because she smoked too many cigarettes in the 20s and now her throat is scratchy. Then one day u both die, at the exact same time from old age and get reincarnated as two gay country personifications. Fin.
