Nerd Alert! I wish I had before and after pictures of this journal. Originally, it was plain black, and I carried it just about everywhere over an 8-year span until the spine came undone by the time the book was filled front to back. It took a beating! I wanted this specific journal to survive, so I placed it in the tender care of none other than Quality Bindery Services where I added a few necessary aesthetics, yet the contents remain untouched. Those that know me, could’ve guessed the colors. Blue represents a perfect sky and my fellow 12’s. The green tassel marker represents emerald , my favorite stone for its color and that place in the upper left part of the country where the rain doesn’t bother me. Sometimes things don’t go the way you planned them, but you have to be positive and do what you can where you’re at. He worked his butt off this off-season to contribute to his team this year. It’s one day at a time. He was looking forward to running out on the field for the home opener in two weeks. For now, it’s rest, mental reps, ice/heat. Official diagnosis on Tuesday.
