iām speaking as someone who likes stursia and i donāt think the pluribus writers intend it to be this way, but do you think stursia could make for a good microcosm on how fandoms treat love interests as satellite characters. iām sure someone could articulate this better than me
usually in other fandoms people treat a character as an accessory to their main favorite despite said character being interesting in their own regard
only this time zosia doesnt exist at all outside the context of being carolās partnerā¦like, literally
sorry for the inactivity i got a job as a manga assistant
interesting phenomenon iāve noticed is when animanga fans (shonenbros mostly, but sometimes even their own fans) keep referring to female mangaka by their first name, but always refer to male mangaka by their last name, sometimes in the same post (even pen names have proper first/last names)
the only outlier iāve seen for male mangaka so far is people calling gege akutami āgegeā (first name)
but i have seen people call ryoko kui just āryokoā, paru itagaki just āparuā, and just now rumiko takahashi just ārumikoā
of course, not always for female mangaka, like they always call hiromu arakawa āarakawaā, but itās a trend i have noticed lately
meanwhile itās always oda, itās always araki, itās always fujimoto, its always kishimoto, etc.

certain weird route interpretations piss me off bc it heavily relies on transphobic rhetoric but people here accuse you of being an idiot if you dont think of it that way. like it cant just be some weird denpa yandere shit you have to insert a āmaleā somewhere when there are none
āits just forcing the game into JRPG stereotypes and the protagonist is usually maleā just bc its a stereotype doesnt mean u still have to insert a āmaleā somewhere when there are literally none here. it's kind of a problem when YOU equate violence or dominance with being male
