This is a pen and ink piece I did while I was in Korea! It’s a traditional tree called So-Na-Mu in Korean (소나무) I met some very friendly and kind elderly Korean ladies who put up with my lack of Korean abilities. It was a really fun day!
Another charcoal piece! This one was also procrastinated (sensing a theme?). I definitely had no idea what to use in the studio lol. This was a bit of humor on my part with the plastic eggs and the origami crane.
This is a traditional piece that I did in class, working with charcoal. I was pressed for time because this was due the next day so I scrambled in the studio to set this up. Despite it being a procrastinated piece, I think it’s my favorite of the charcoal works! I like the imagery of life and death, sooooo super original haha.
