sharing my first dabbles in 3d modelling! these were created for the peachtober drawing challenge 2024, following the prompt list by furrylittlepeach on instagram. i had aome time off from freelance work and really needed to challenge myself to do something. i wonder sometimes if freelancing is the right thing for me cause whenever i have time inbetween projects i struggle to come up with a meaningful use for my time... but anywa, this helped me find a new passion and ignite a new curiosity.

a much needed update

okay. when i was in therapy for a bit last year, my therapist told me that humans tend to wait from signs from outside and hope that it changes what they feel inside. i fell silent that moment. i was guilty of this.

whenever i try to start a newsletter or an update post i get stuck on the first few sentences. chatting to myself in written language is just so strange. what even is significant enough to write down anymore? i started typing on different sites and apps but it felt wrong. So i started typing on tumblr. IF i ever want to manage, it has to be here. we've been through so much together in the last 15 years now. it was the first time i honestly wrote about what i'm feeling, hiding in the anonymity of the web. it was the purest form of cringe, if cringe even was a thing back then. so what's been going on? no one asks. i've started to learn 3D modelling. no reason really, i just didn't have a job after september (i'm freelance). peachtober was approaching. a challenge i started and abandoned yearly up to this point. i took it day by day and tried to figure out how far i'd get this time and shared my progress as usual. always making fun of how far i'd come this time. but surprisingly i got so into modelling that for the first time i actually completed peachtober. i didn't know it at that point but, wow, it felt good? i sometimes look at the posts and am still proud that i've actually done that?? it's not a feeling i get often. my friends were cheering me on and i found so many new mates because i was following the other creators' daily posts. it definitely changed the way i'm viewing my socials up to this day. it became FUN to post and not something i was dreading. as a thank you for everyone who supported me, i made a few of my models available as wallpapers for download here: https://ko-fi.com/s/ed0ccb74d0 (did you know i opened a kofi?? i barely did lol) to stay in touch with my new found confidence to post (& to fight my inner perfectionist) i shared an abandoned piece of work in my insta stories everyday in december. again, people were so kind and encouraging to keep going with some of the pieces. so many heartfelt conversations about perfectionism have sparked. i'm thinking of doing the same thing again the end of this year. now with 2025 just starting i'm trying to figure out my goals for this year. i want to continue modelling in 3d, maybe even make the switch to blender. i want to connect even more with people on my socials, forming more bonds. i want to create more little trinkets and things, work with actual clay as well as find a way to make my silk clay sculptures look more professional or high-end or whatever. andddd i want to be accepted to more art markets. i want to write more!! let's so how many of these things i can cross off at the end of the year. i think that's it for now... 💖 Lalita

Last week something happened and I'm still feeling sad and a bit weird about this. Last week, I stepped on a mouse. I didn't hear or see it was there and accidentally stepped on it. I broke its neck and it broke my heart, so I drew this... Farewell little mouse <3 I'm sorry (this happened in February, but these are my heartfelt words from when I originally posted it on insta)
