Waxing moon. An Atlas of Astronomy. 1892. Atlas page, detail.
I lost myself trying to please everyone else. Now I’m losing everyone while I’m finding myself.

When I loved myself enough, I began leaving whatever wasn’t healthy. This meant people, jobs, my own beliefs and habits - anything that kept me small. My judgement called it disloyal. Now I see it as self-loving.

I’m happy.
He always says: I don't feel you happy. You don't look happy. The others are saying the same.
Why he tells me this? Is this a form of help I don't fully understand?
In this moment I’m home alone, with the dog. In the morning I worked, I went swimming and for a long walk with the dog. I had a beer in the sunset on our terrace and pasta for dinner. I have the whole bed for myself tonight which is rare (and nice). I feel happy. Constantly. Even on the sad days the happiness is there. I know this. He doesn't need to know, see or feel it. Why I suppose he might know me better than I know myself? “The others say the same” should not be a counting argument..
