And Kairi’s slight smile inspires a wide smile to take hold of the midnight girl’s expression, showing teeth and laughing in a quiet kind of helpless delight. Her gentle hand feels far too natural in her own { don’t let go of me never let go of me please } and her voice echoes pleasantly within her ears. She is too lovely; too pure for Earth. And perhaps Kairi, too, calms something within Xion – some persistent and invasive whisper, you are not like them, there is something wrong with you, you do not belong here and YOU WILL NEVER BELONG ANYWHERE! – and sets her aching bones and shuddering guts to stillness, to ease. She will never have the words to explain how much such means; to be saved from her own self - destruction.
She is glad to sit beside her, turning head to grin at her companion, voice teasing like the warm spring breeze that ruffles through their hair and at their clothing.

a giggle slips between the cracks in response, a soft & gentle sound, as knowing fingers weave in, out, in, out through the streams of onyx hair xion dons. the repetition is rhythmic & lulling, almost hypnotic to the point where kairi now feels at ease; all anger has ceased its forth comings, & the only thing that matters is the company of someone she adores, & their time spent together. as, with dutiful intentions, kairi continues her plait, realization slowly begins its encroachment; starting with the comforting scent that wafts from companion's hair, & progressing with the warmth she gains by accidentally grazing the nape of xion's neck, kairi reaches a stalemate with herself. she is both content & overwhelmingly saddened by their scenario.
