A journey older than time and yet happening for the first time once again.As I rest and replenish my energy in the darkness, I'm the Mistress of mysteries. I can see everything that was and everything that might be: I'm the Oracle.

Waning Moon: I cut from myself everything that no longer serves me, it hurts, but I leave behind the useless load I'm carrying as I get ready to dream. I might look weaker and innocent, but I'm wiser, sharper, dangerous. I've got some wounds to heal. As I walk towards my rest, the light fades: I'm the Shadow Maker.

Hi there, I'm Elís. I'm a freelance Illustrator from Havana. Cuban population only got access to internet about five years ago, I was a new mother by then and was already in my early thirties. That means I've had to work a lot to get some attention for my work on social media and keep up with the rest of the world and all the younger fantastic artists out there. Since then I've grown a lot as an artist and I keep working on evolving every day, but it's been hard to see how much I lost, all the things I couldn't learn and the jobs I couldn't get when I had no internet, it also happened to many fellow artists from my country, amazing, extremely talented people who have already given up and that will never show their faces on Instagram or TikTok because they feel too old. I won't even talk about Twitter, which is a mess right now.

I'm just sad about the way artists' work is suffering because of the way social media and algorithms have been mistreating them lately. Specially small art accounts, who can barely reach anyone anymore and still depend on exposure to get jobs.

I've had this Tumblr account for a while but this is my first post. I'm trying to cover all my bases. If you like witchcore and girly illustration and glitter, maybe you'll like my work. ✨🌙
