"Ah, quite a prestigious club. Though if you catch it, then I'd just marry you all over again," he told her with a smile, hoping she felt the same. God knows there were things he wished he could change, but he knew more than anything that he'd choose to be with her in every lifetime. "Well maybe I should take the mic from the DJ and tell everyone how beautiful you look," he told her and dropped a kiss on one of her shoulders. He was feeling vulnerable, already having teared up at his best friends ceremony, now being in this moment with his wife, surrounded by all of their friends, he was at risk at becoming a puddle of mush right then and there. "You having fun? I mean I knew we'd have fun but I think they're knocking it out of the park."
"Oh, I'm shocked you aren't all huddled together, sighing in relief." Lana joked, her hand finding her husband's. "Can you imagine?" She told Aiden as he spoke of them getting married once again. That day's nuptials had actually taken her back to their special day quite often. The jitters she'd felt, she'd been so nervous. Lana had never been one for any sort of spotlight, hating attention being on her but those nerves had disappeared the moment Aiden locked eyes with her. He'd made the entire ceremony a breeze, easing her through it all. He'd always been supportive in that way, Lana squeezed his hand ever so slightly. "I have a feeling most people in attendance know just how beautiful you find me to be." Not just cause of their relationship status but because Brodie made sure to allude to the two of them in his speeches that day. "The best time, actually. How about you?" She asked, her eyes meeting his.
Aiden's smile had been wide all night, wanting to take in this moment as much as possible. He had even put his phone on silent and told his assistant to hold everything until the start of the week so he could be as present as possible for his best friend. "Oh? And which group is that because I think there are quite a few," he told her as he took her hand and brought it to his lips. "Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?"
"Well, the married club is the obvious one," Lana said, the smile on her face only growing as Aiden's lips met her hand. Her eyes finding themselves on her wedding ring, the physical representation of their love. A story that had it's up's and down's— but they'd managed to weather those storms. "but the club I was referring to was the you don't have to worry about me fighting over the bouquet club." She told him with a laugh. "I don't believe you have..." She said, playfully as Aiden had certainly let her know several times that evening.
"I'm sure this hasn't even crossed your mind," Lana began to say as she took a seat besides her husband after having just tore it on the dancefloor. "you're a part of an exclusive group tonight." She nodded, a smirk finding it's way onto her features. (@aiden-newbury)
"C'mon, I am not taking no for an answer." Lana urged Willow, taking a hold of her hand as she led her to the dance floor. Brodie and Colette's rehearsal dinner had gone off without a hitch, the soon to be married couple looking positively radiant and she knew a big part of that was Willow's doing. She'd taken her role as groomswoman seriously and she deserved this night to let loose. "I think the boys can survive without us for a bit." She looked back where they'd left Perrie and Aiden sitting back. ( @willow-balcoin )

Despite everyone winding down for the year, Aiden had found himself deep in case notes and articles sent by his father he had yet to read. He was trying to get it all squared away so he could enjoy the holiday with his wife and not revert back to the workaholic he had been breaking away from. He had finally taken a break to wrap some Christmas presents when he heard her get back. He waited to see if she would come to the office but instead heard her ask the speaker to play what seemed to be her new favorite song. He waited for a moment, not sure if he should interrupt her, but the song was short and by the time he decided it was starting over again. He smiled to himself as he watched her dance and stood in the doorway. He was afraid words would ruin it, break her out of whatever moment she was in, so instead he walked over to her slowly, sliding his arms around her from behind and pressed a kiss to the side of her head as they moved together.
Lana's eyes found themselves closed as she swayed to the music. She didn't know how SZA did it but she managed to perfectly encapsulate how Lana felt in that moment. To say the last year of her life had been quite an interesting one, one where she unfortunately had to face a lot of uncomfortable situations head on. But here she stood at the end of the year, pretty at peace with where her life stood in that moment. She was crushing it at the firm. She liked to think she'd been a pretty incredible friend to those around her, and her relationship... it was certainly in a better place than it found itself last year. Lana felt a pair of arms wrap around her, knowing exactly who they belonged to. A smile formed on her features, as they swayed to the music.
When the final notes of the song arrived, she turned around and opened her eyes to find her husband. "Hi."
"You know we got a real history..." Lana found herself in her immaculate kitchen after a night out with her girlfriends. It'd been a yearly tradition brought forth by Tierney, Ella and their sorority sisters post graduation. The first friday of their holiday break, the ladies were to reunite and have fun. And fun was certainly had that night. So now a somewhat intoxicated Lana found herself in her kitchen, SZA's LANA album blaring in the Newbury household and the lyrics emitting from her. Lyrics that felt so poignant in that moment. She swayed around the kitchen to the melody, head clear of any deadlines or commitments. In that moment, she was one with the music. ( @aiden-newbury )
