LANA WINTERS: THE MUSCLES OF LANA'S JAW FLEX AND TENSE AS SHE STARES POINTEDLY AHEAD. THE HOTEL BAR IS CHIC, EXCLUSIVE, DIMLY LIT, AND SHE HAD EXPECTED A CERTAIN DEGREE OF DISCRETION FROM THE OTHER PATRONS. PEOPLE AT THIS HIGH REACHING RUNG OF THE LADDER, THEY ALL HAD THEIR SECRETS, THEIR LONGING FOR PEACE AND PRIVACY, BUT SHE FEELS THOSE EYES BORING INTO HER PROFILE AND HER PALMS BEGIN TO ITCH. 'IF YOU'RE GOING TO KEEP GAWKING AT ME LIKE ZOO ANIMAL, YOU COULD AT LEAST BUY ME A GODDAMN DRINK.' the meeting, hannibal had set up, and he wasn't entirely sure lana would show. she hadn't entirely given him a straight answer upon his invitation ( something hannibal has come to understand aws the norm for her ), but he did have faith that she'd come, even if only because she was a little bit curious. normally, hannibal would have a guest over to his home for dinner. lana, however, has made it very clear that she'd rather die than step foot into the house of a psychiatrist, so he decided the hotel was a good a place as any. the doctor strolls in early, waiting near the end of the bar with a class cabernet in hand. eyes scan the patrons that flock into the bar, only to stop as he watches lana enter and take her seat at one of the tables. he approaches slowly, not making himself known just yet, smirk quirking one corner of his lips when she feels his staring at her. 'is that any way to treat a friend?' quips doctor lecter, though friend was not exactly the correct term for what they are - still, it seemed a polite way to make his introduction here. 'may i sit?' @despiite.
“I feel like this is a bad idea.” Leo was staring back at the dock, watching the tiny pier shrink in size as they moved further and further from the shore, the waves lapping against the side of the yacht mimicking the flips of her stomach. She was standing next to Lana amongst a sea of Italians as foreign music blared through speakers, combatting shouted words of a language she didn’t know, and sweaty bodies pressed up against each other. “Are you sure these people are, like, our age?” It was true that Leo knew little of what Lana had up her sleeve and still agreed to join her on the excursion, which was probably her first mistake. What she did know was that it was supposedly just a night with some rich kids from around the area, nothing more and nothing less… This felt like a little more. “Seriously, something feels… off.” @lanajvmeson
Laughing as a group of people surrounding Lana had started chanting ‘Chug, chug, chug!’ when they’d noticed her guzzling from her bottle of wine, Leo only decided to step in when Lana spluttered for a second, more wine slipping out of her mouth and down her chin than down her throat, “Okay, okay, come up for air!” he gasped out around a laugh, “God, were you trying to drown yourself from the inside out?” Before taking his own sip from the bottle, just in case. Less for Lana to demolish herself with, he reasoned, “With shitty wine too, nonetheless. Blegh. Ya busted!” he all but shouted in her face, randomly quoting a video on YouTube he’d seen at least 5 years ago now. @lanajvmeson
“You’re all on your own over here,” What felt like moments ago, Gunner had watched Lana pouring champagne into someone’s mouth from where she’d been standing on a chair. Maybe that was longer ago than he thought - it was hard to keep up with time during the chaos of the party, “You want a new drink? There’s jungle juice left. Have you tried it? Kinda tastes like battery acid.” @lanajvmeson
“God,” Arms held out beside him in an awkward, hunkered position, Teddy purposely hunched his body as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. It obscured the mirrored image of him to look elongated width wise, the result funny enough he’d been striking different poses to leech as much entertainment as he could from it, “Hey, c’mere - this one’s my favourite one,” he insisted, gesturing for Lana to come stand beside him, dragging her attention away from the mirror she’d been in front of just beside his, “Out there they’ll revile you as a monster,” Switching positions again, taking on a far more dramatic stance as he quoted The Hunchback of Notre Dame, “Out there they will hate you, and scorn and jeer. Hunchback - pretty good, right?” @lanajvmeson
